Gaming collection after death
Strong and Nerdy (formerly tmntfreak7):
Hey guys kind of a weird/random thought. Has anyone actually determined what would happen to their collections if they passed away?
Have you actually talked about it with your family or included it in your will or anything?
If not, what would you guys want to happen with your collections after you passed away?
I'm only 21 so I'm not really worried about keeling over out of the blue, but it's something that's been on my mind lately so I figured I would ask you guys since we all share the same passion for games
Arseen:
My siblings would keep them.
They sometimes even play them, so i think they would stay safe.
Brandonh1091:
Kind of like you said, I'm only 23 so I'm not exactly expecting to go anytime soon, but I have thought about that plenty of times.
I told my wife once that when I finally kick the bucket, that I will require a giant tomb to be constructed to hold my remains, and to line the walls with all of my games, and that nothing less will be acceptable.
She said something along the lines of "Yeah....I'll get right on that.", so I can only assume she'll get that taken care of for me.
BadChad:
Me and my two buddies that collect the most have come up with a mutual agreement that should one of us die, we would split our collection between the two of us still alive lol. But yeah, Im only 21 so I dont think Im going anywhere but If I did go, they would be inheriting a collection FAR superior than their own! ;)
Seraph Man:
If I passed now, my siblings would probably get my (meager) collection, but my intent is to pass it down to my children (whenever that happens). I intend to raise them up on the old school games, so they can appreciate gaming as I do. Now that you bring it up though, I should at least let my current girlfriend know this, as she's got her side of gaming that I would want to incorporate as well.
I'm a lost cause, and I intend to bring my offspring down with me. I feel sorry for them already. :P
