a little bit of photoshop help maybe?

I'm trying to recreate the angled grid thingie from this:


The first thing I try to do is simply take a 2D image of a grid and use the warp mode to try and wrestle it into that orientation. Unfortunately as you can imagine I end up with an image that looks all... well... kinda warped. Am I going about this all wrong? What can I do to achieve this effect?

if you have cs4 or 5 you can create the grid on a 2D plane and then transform it to a 3d objects and simple rotate it into position.
