Over the past several months I've been preparing a list of the top 25 essential games for Retrozone's NES Powerpak. Why 25? Seemed like a good number. The only qualification would be that the games must work with the latest powerpak mappers and must not include any commercially available NES games.

After extensive play testing, I feel I've come up with a pretty good list. Check it out!

Let me know what you guys think and feel free to drop any further recommendations.

Thanks for the comments! Yeah I'd like to do an SNES version for the Super Powerpak as well, but I'm less attached to the SNES than I am the original NES so my immediate knowledge of 25 homebrew/hack/translation/abandonware/pirate SNES games is much more limited. You could very well expect such a list though. Maybe one for the Everdrive as well.

Will do, the project has been on hold for over 2 years, but there where some nice changes done and this time around the game forces you to lvlup sometimes around because of the higher dificulty, i even rewrote the script of alot of enemies to make them both smarter and more challenging. and i dont know if you noticed the Ancient Cave b99 & Submarine shrine wich where totally glitched where allso fixed "i didnt fix them myself but the hacker responsible for doing it didnt mind for me to use the fix ;)"

Satoshi: i can name a few you can look at, Zelda: Parallel World, Brutal Mario, CT: Prophet's Gulie, Super Metroid: Redesign to name a few ;).

Yeah. I came up with a short list of games I would consider for such a list, and came up with 17 right off the bat, and that's not including any homebrew or hong kong pirates.
