Thanks, I think I'll have to try and blag someone in the US here to send them over as DS cases are hard to get hold of.. you wouldn't believe the lack of customer support we have here in  Europe.  A few years back the UK was managed by THE Games but since Nintendo Europe took over it's turned into a bit of a joke.  Actually its turned into a complete joke.

Right, I need to get scanning...

OK, I have tried uploading all of my stuff via the websitealthough when I go to view it I get a 404 every time, so I gave up and put the whole lot here…

GBA

For GBA, I'd really appreciate if the top lid could be used as the spine as the sides are rather uninteresting whereas the top looks nice-ish and is again, true to the box if the top is ALWAYS the spine (as of course parts have to be omitted in order to become a DS case slip - rather keep the top than sides).  This also means they are all quite uniform which again, is nice for me.  Please could all of these be done without the on-site pre-made borders because like I say, I want these as replicas (just with a tad rearranging with the top flap->spine).

I do forsee a possible problem with ALttP… the box is actually patterned all over, which is why I’ve scanned the back with the spine going both ways to capture all the detail for the back bit (however the one with the left to the right is the one that’ll want to be used as the other way means the right is never scanned as clearly due to the right hand spine being twice as think and making the back not sit properly) but if the top is used for the spine... I suppose blend effect could be used on the spine seams to soften the lines into nothingness on each corner a couple of mm thick or something.  Unless someone has a better idea, which they might…

Metroid Fusion

Metroid Fusion has a picture all over the back and the right side is a bit screwy, but looking up close I reckon it’s al correctable (in that you can see where the detail SHOULD go).

N64

The only thing I won’t be able to get round to yet is Banjo Kazooie.  Despite me having an original cart and booklet I ordered a replacement box some years ago from Nintendo as mine became damaged and they sent me Player's Choice.  I've never been happy since but kept it due to it being in good condition.  What I'll have to do is buy a cheap copy just for the box, unless anyone here has a copy lying around (UK that is - doubtful).  I’m currently looking at eBay and have made a bid on a copy.

I really am after exact replicas as far as the N64 stuff goes (back front and top of the box - N64 logo AS IS, not rotated, please, please - it means a lot to me), you guys can always do whatever you think looks best after making one like that anyhoo, so that should make things easy for people.

Conker’s Bad Fur Day

http://www.b3ta.cr3ation.co.uk/data/jpg/cbfdback.jpg
With Conker I’ve done the top spine on both shots so no spine detail is lost.

Jet Force Genimi

http://www.b3ta.cr3ation.co.uk/data/jpg/jfgbackb.jpg
I’ve done with Jet Force what I did with Link to the Past in that I think a bit of the back detail is lost by folding it over so I’ve done it with the spine showing at top and bottom, although of course the one with the spine at top is much clearer but the one with it at the bottom just shows any detail that might be missing.

Perfect Dark

You’ll notice a bit of brown on the left of the Perfect Dark box, because stupidly enough when I had this game at first (many years ago), I decided to ‘correct’ a bit of damaged box by colouring it with felt tip.  Yes, awful I know – just in case anyone doesn’t spot it…

Paper Mario

So, that’s all… if these all get done I’ll be over the moon.  I’d like to try my hand at it myself but I’d need a guide as I’ve never used a PhotoShop or alternative (Paint.NET/GIMP/Pixel – is there a best?  I’ve currently got Pain.NET as GIMP required loads of separate download files and Pixel is a beta).  If someone has a guide I'll have a look, I'd quite like to try.

OK, I see no-one's chipped in yet and that's a GOOD thing.  Due to the lack of availability of certain titles, I have been buying my new games in the US far cheaper and also getting a spangly colour booklet as opposed to the shoddy black and white multi lingual ones we get here.

So I'm going to replace my existing GBA titles with the US versions, which means I'll be after US boxart.. but again, the official versions, with either top or side as the spine (I have Minish Cap US so far, top and side are identical - don't know about other titles).

So if anyone is interested in modding the current ones we have on-site to make them replicas, or fancy trying their hand at the N64 ones, please do.  I have yet to sit down and take a few hours to soak up Paint.NET or similar as I also ant to have a crack.
