Atari Games That Deserve Covers

Trunks6:

Hey Guys I noticed that there has been an update in the Atari section. It's got me thinking that there are a few titles that haven't gotten covers as of this writing, or at least that I know of.

So I've decided to make a list of the games which haven't gotten covers yet. Games which are famous among atari enthusiasts.

1. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial - Yeah I know this one is in part responsible for the game crash of 1983, and is so bad that frankly I don't know why anyone wants to showcase it, but a game this bad deserves to have some custom cover art, just to preserve if for history's sake.

2. Custer's Revenge - Sure its an X-Rated title. Even for early video games its possibly one of the first instances where we have a "Hot Coffee Mode" in video games. And it didn't stur up as much controversy as GTA: SA. Heck it never made it to the halls of Congress, but it was also rumored to be remade by Rockstar at one point. If the game is ever remade, it should get a cover. Anyone want to give this one a shot? LOL.

3. Halloween/Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Games that are so rare and are also considered two of the first horror video games should get some covers, even though like Custer's Revenge they never were seen on the actual store shelves.

So there's my short list of controversy. I hope you guys give it a shot.

Both of these are unlicensed, we won't host them.

Good points. Didn't understand the difference between unlicensed and licensed games. Although I do have a question, would the same apply to a company such as Wisdom Tree? I've heard that they've made some unlicensed games for the Nintendo consoles.  I did see a cover for Bible Adventures in the NES section.

shenske:

If the game got a shelf release then its ok to host them.  So cover for games made by tengen, wisdom tree, aladdin are ok to be hosted on the site.

scarmullet:

But Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre did get shelf space, albeit behind the counter same with all the mystique games (the "porn" games), but you could purchase them from the store.
