Yeah, so? It's a replacement cover. no matter how close you make it to the original, it won't be the original.

Find the paper that looks best, don't worry about the thickness.

When you ruin your retail cover, don't come crying to us saying you had to pay $100 for another cover of a rare game

AppleQueso: Uh, I was never actually worried about the thickness. I just wanted to match a similar type of paper, as printing images on different types of paper affects the overall look of it, especially the brightness. And I found a paper that was a kind of a cross between normal and glossy paper (semi-gloss I guess), and it worked well. I printed off the new cover today.

Shoothimnow: No need to be harsh dude. Also, I didn't ruin the retail cover of my game. I bought the game, which was supposed to be in like new condition, but clearly the seller lied.

Yeah I've had to give people games sans cases or manuals just to be sure I get them back in decent condition. Then again these days I only lend stuff out to my best friend and my girlfriend, both who I know have a bit of respect for my stuff.

I sometimes replace retail covers when they are damaged as well but I would always let someone I'd be selling such a game know that it is not 100% retail. Homeprinted is homeprinted.

Yeah, if I were selling a game with a printed cover art (my copy of mega man legends 2 for example), I'd sell it as disc only. Maybe offer to include the printed cover if they want it.

For what it's worth, if I reprint a cover and I still have the original, I tuck it in behind the reprinted cover. :)
