So I went to book store and bought binder and 4-way plastic photo holders, this is the result

In that binder are my NES manuals from A to G, might still fit H, but I want to leave some free space for future.

For bigger NES manuals and SNES and N64 manuals I must try find 2-way Photo holders for bigger photos.

Hmmmmmmm. That seems like a pretty neat idea.

Although for NES manuals I don't really see the point cause they fit in UGCs perfectly.

For me that would be awesome for the bigger-than-possible-to-fit manuals stuff.

I think SNES and N64 are the limit or are even just too big (same size as Wii and Xbox 360).

There are 2 reasons why I decided to store manuals like this.

1. As I do play my games storing the manuals like this prevents scratches.
2. I am serious collector and have multiple copies of the manuals - different region / language, see:

BTW: as you should know i don't use UGC's but double wide DVD cases, so SNES and N64 manuals are no problem.

I know out of experience that SNES,NES,N64,Genesis/MD,Jaguar do fit.

Just some JP N64 manuals are a tad too big.

What I would love to use such a storage system for is really big manuals like Sega CD, Saturn, 3DO or Amiga ones.

How much bigger are SNES manuals than NES manuals?

SNES manuals are the same size as n64 manuals, if I remember right. That makes them a little shorter and a little wider than the manuals you'd get in say, a ps2 game. NES manuals are tiny really.

Here is how SNES game fits, it may look loose but when you close the case the manual holds the game in place.

Same goes for N64 and NES games.

I always thought they were the same size but you are right, there is small difference in size.

Has anyone noticed how manual clips in DVD cases leave indentations on the manuals over time?

I have seen this mainly on single CD jewel case game manuals especially Turbografx and other old systems.

Yeah, that happens. Jewel cases have it the worst though.

Of course, it depends on how thick the booklet is.

I tried putting in Atari manuals (most manuals for 2600, 5200 and 7800 games are the same size) and they won't fit in a UGC. They're close to the same size as SNES/N64 manuals, but they're just a tad too tall to fit in a UGC.
