I'm trying to print a Nintendo 64 cover, and have never had this problem with Windows XP Paint.

I found the page set up, and is much like Windows XP Paint, but everytime I go to enter the Margins to 0.5 for each, they keep changing themselves back to whatever they once were before.

Can anyone help?

Mine lets change margins without problems.

Are the margins in inches or millimeters. if in millimeters try setting to 5 not 0.5. If inches try using 0,5 instead of 0.5.

And just in case: Press OK instead of cancel  ;D

It's in inches. And using , doesn't help. They keep changing back. It's really annoying.

Yeah. This is rather aggrevating. I never had this problem with Windows XP.

I just recently upgraded, and paint isn't the same.

Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to print using paint with Windows 7? I've got a few covers I need to print.

Here is a screen-cap of the settings I use: MSPaint

With those settings it should be perfect. I personally like the Windows 7 Paint much more than previous versions, just takes a few minutes to find stuff the first time

Yeah, I'm trying to do the same thing, but everytime I try to change the margins, some let me change them to 0.5, and some don't. When I go to the ones that don't, I type in 0.5, and then they change back to whatever they were.

I never changed those values so I don't know what to say. Make sure it is Adjust to: 100% and you have it centered horizontally and vertically and have Legal paper selected. If you've done that ... well that's all I ever do. The margins were just right.

Have you tried printing a different cover? Perhaps the cover you are trying to print has a problem

I have. It's doing the same thing with another cover.

I've tried reinstalling my printer software, drivers and everything.

I seriously don't know what the hell is wrong. This is ridiculous.

Even the print preview is lying to me. Like, it'll show how it's going to look in the print preview, but then when I print, I get an a half printed cover art thats centered in the middle of the paper.

Is there a way to reinstall paint or something? I just don't understand why this is doing all this. I have never had this problem with XP.

This is what's happening. I can't, for the life of me, changed these to 0.5. They go right back. And, sometimes, it'll do it on the others aswell. Like, for example, the right won't let me change it to 0.5. It's different for each everytime. Some will let me, some one, but never will it let me change ALL of them to 0.5.

And when I go to print, without even messing with them, my cover comes out either the right size, but printed in the center, half:

Or, they print too small:

Regardless if the print preview shows that its going to print right.

Here's the proper settings, but this is what I mean about the right not being able to go to 0.5. No matter what I do, it always goes back.

Usually, when I open the cover art in paint, everything is set to 0.5 automatically, right?

This isn't the case for me. The right margin or whatever isn't 0.5. I don't understand the problem.
