| Printing with Windows 7 Paint |

So, I went into Print Management, and created a new form called Video Game, with the same dimensions as legal paper, and set the Margins to 0.5 for each. Saved it, then opened Paint. I select Video Game, which is all set for me, and that right Margin goes back to 3.478. *SIGH* So, I've decided that it has to be the printer driver that is causing this problem. It HAS to be. My only problem is, locating this driver, and maybe editing, or replacing it. But to replace it, would have to find the correct replacement. Any ideas? |

I would try calling HP tech support on seeing how to do a full reset of the printer's settings. Every printer is different, but each has a very specific fancy button combination to reset the firmware. Note that this is different than what you as a user can find in the settings, which doesn't fully restore it to factory settings. I'm pretty sure the problem is because you upgraded to Windows 7. I've had 2 HP printers, and sometimes they're been perfect, sometimes they've been finicky as hell. Using old printers with new computers, new operating systems, failed hard drives, etc. On top of all this I would suggest reinstalling all HP-related software, just to be safe. This one stumped me, but as with any other program I deal with, generally scrapping everything fixes it. Tell me if this works ;) |

I've tried everything. Guess I'm forced to buy a new printer. One that is compatible with Windows 7. |

UPDATE: So, come to find out, the drivers for my HP PSC 1209 printer that Windows Update has are indeed glitched. My friend had a Canon MP190 printer laying around that he said was pretty much never used, so he let me have it. Hooked it up, Windows Update downloaded the drivers, and what do you know, my settings allowed me to do what I wanted them to do. 0.5 Margins and all. I want to thank everyone for trying to help me through this newly found glitch, and be it that none of us could find a fix, I appreciate ya'lls time regardless. Thanks. |
