Since I am unable to change that right margin to 0.5, it keeps wanting to print across two sheets of paper. One half of the cover on one, and the other on another.

I have tried every thing. I can't seem to fix this problem. This is really pissing me off.

I have an HP PSC 1209 All In One Printer, that I have used numerous times to print my covers out before upgraded to Windows 7.

Sorry I can't be of any more help. My only suggestion at this point is ... try different software. That is really weird that Paint would do that and I've never heard of it before or seen it myself. I doubt it's a problem with the printer, just some weird bug in Paint.

Actually a US citizen, but the US playstation id's look like crap :(

I tried downloading Paint.NET, and had no luck with that either.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but under my printer properties, it says something like "Paper Available", and just says Letter. Should there be Legal there too?

I dunno. I'm trying to give as much information as I can to resolve this problem.

what about just typing in '0' for the margin size? It should automatically put in the smallest possible amount...

If you haven't tried yet, download "Gimp" and see if that works. Follow the guide here on the site.

if it's happening in multiple programs, then it's going to be a setting in your printer propertied.

which printer are you using?

Make sure page size isn't set to some random size.

Open up your printer properties box and post a screen grab here so we can take a look.

Everything lets me change, except for that right Margin. It keeps going back to 3.478. Type in 0, goes back to 3.478. Type in 0.5, goes back to 3.478. Even if I hit OK to apply, it goes right back to 3.478 before the window closes.

Downloaded GIMP. Lets me change everything to 1, besides the right margin. Goes right back to 3.478.

I'm using an HP PSC 1209 All-In-One Printer, that I've had for years. I've used it to print all my Atari, NES, SNES, GBA, and my Nintendo 64 covers until' now, since I upgraded to Windows 7, I have ran into this problem.

Here's my printer settings screen caps:

In this screenshot, I have noticed where it says Fit To, when I have that clicked, it says 1 by 1 pages, however, when I click Adjust to, that where it says Fit To, it changes to 2 by 1 pages as shown in here:

Nothing screaming at me from the settings - can you print a full page of text, or a complete printer test page?

I looked on HP's website with not much luck. I take it when you re-installed the software and the driver, you did it from here on HP's site, and not from the disc that came with the your printer.

If you haven't yet, you can try running HP's "Print Diagostic Utility".

Also, have you tried printing from "photo viewer" and let windows 7 select the page setup? Only make the selections that windows 7 asks for.

I just did a test print, and everything seemed to look fine.

Could this have anything to do with it? I noticed where it says paper available, in the properties, it says only Letter. I dunno. Just a thought maybe?

See, that's the thing. I tried using the orignal disc it came with, installed everything, and even restarted. When I hooked the printer up, Windows started scanning Windows Update for the proper drivers, and installed them. It's as if installing the disc did absolutely nothing. I didn't even use the HP's website to install the drivers, cause Windows Update took care of everything already.

Ran the HP Diagnostic Utility. Everything it reported was fine. What gives?

I have printed from photo viewer, with no luck either.
