I'm dressing up as Tim Drake, the third Robin. I'll probably be working that day though. I just hope no one at work gets too upset that I'm in costume instead of in uniform. Perhaps I should tell them of my plans.

I'm making a Salvation Army run today. This is probably one of my most unprepared years so far. Woops.

Well, looks like Im the first to post costume photos this year. Had a Halloween party at my place this year. Went out as "Bubbles" from Trailer Park Boys. I thought it turned out great and everyone loved it. Had alot of fun acting like him for the night. Drove around town for a few hours to find my GF a costume on Saturday. All she ended buying was a bottle of fake blood lol. Tore up some clothes, made her looked roughed up, dirty and bloody and she went out as "The one that got away" lol.

Next year were thinking of going as an NES, and a Controller that plugs into the NES!

It snowed around were i live so that killed some plans, it was a bad storm. I went to a party and the first hour or 2 there was no power, but the guy had a lot of decorations and it was lit with candles so it worked out. I was unprepared this Halloween and was not planing much, but some thing came up so i recycled a old costume. Last year I had a mustache, but lost it, and the coat was cheep and to dark of a color compared to the one John wore on the album cover. The pink stripes on the front was sowed on by me, it originally had silver ones. The guitar was not mine.

So, I'm sorta crazy about Halloween. I've been converting the 2nd floor of our house (my studio space) into a haunted house for the past 5 or 6 years, much to my wife's chagrin.  This year a friend let me borrow a few nice, large space heaters, so it'll move to the garage, which is great because I would probably have had to stop doing it since I've started using more and more of that space and clearing it out would beyond disrupt my ability to get work done.

Since there are so many creative people on the site, I'm curious as to whether or not any of you do anything sorta crazy like that for Halloween or any holiday for that matter.

BTW, those pumpkins are foam. You cut em just like normal pumpkins, but they last forever. You can get em at Target and craft stores.  I add a couple to the group every year. They're lit with LEDs.

I never did anything but I have a friend who does this. I'm not sure if this year he is because he is in collage and might not have the time. Last year there was a snow storm and the power was out and the house was lit with candles. It was cool.

You know, I was wondering what a "craft pumpkin" actually was!  I've been stocking those for weeks now at Target, and didn't know why someone would pay $6 for a foam pumpkin.  Now, thanks to you, Wiggy, I have my answer ^_^

They're really awesome IMO. Easy to carve, no mess (well, no juicy, gooey mess), and they last virtually forever!

I wanna do a big one eating a little one. They just came out with the little ones on the far right this year, and they're like the perfect size for something like that :)

My tradition the last few years has been to grab a six-pack of Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale and carve a few pumpkins with a buddy of mine. We also bake and eat the seeds (nearly perfected the recipe over the years), so no phony foam pumpkins for me! Here's some pictures:

2008 was Master Chief, but no photos, alas.

Nice!  They look like they get better and better every year :D

That reminds me of the one bummer thing about the foam pumpkins; they're thin, so you can't do much in the way of dimensional carving :(

The only time I ever carved a decent pumpkin, I did the Stargate SG-1 logo. Wish I hadn't lost the picture of it.

It's a... it's a.. it's a.... ROCKET SHIP!!!!!

Don't comment on this "not being a rocket ship", it's a quote from the movie =P.  The cookie is brought out as a way to publicly humilitize edward norton on his TV show, but he comes back stating it's a rocket ship.  Shut up, at least I know someone else who didn't think this movie was stupid!  And wicked awesome costume =P
