There has been lately huge wave of just released games with scrap or missing covers.

I think US stores really should learn how not destroy game covers in few days!

Or people to not buy new just released games with scrap covers when next to that game is probably same game with mint cover!

SERIOUSLY DO YOU REALLY THINK WE ARE THAT STUPID?!  >:(

Guys, it's a friggin' ps3 game. There isn't a way to burn or pirate ps3 games as of right now. Get off your high horse.

He's either bought it used or picked up the last available copy at his store.

Could we try to not start a lynch mob over unfounded, stupid bullshit?

...and even if it was possible to burn ps3 games or whatever, why the hell would it matter? IT'S A FRIGGIN' COVER ART. You people wouldn't have any problem if he came here next month and asked this, it'll end up on the site eventually either way, so what's the problem in asking?

We're here to provide covers, not interrogate every person who makes a request.

Oh yes there is.

Used two days after release and game that is not going to sell out in two days.

It just makes me suspicious, when after every bit bigger launch there comes almost immediately pretty much the same post as new person's first post.

Again, why does it matter at all?

I bought the collector edition of this game. However, when I removed the sticker to open the box, the ink (from the special plastic case) came with it. Further more, thanks to FS who put their price directly on the case, now it just look awfull in my game collection. That is why I want a copy of the cover so I can swap it (CE --> Regular).

Sorry for the confusion.

One of the stores I usually buy games from does the same thing with their stickers. So whenever I buy a game in a special case [cardboard or plastic slipcase etc] I always ask for a 'fresh' copy from out the back, that doesn't have any stickers on it.

Some stores have nice stickers that peel off very easily, and never leave any residue. I don't understand why they don't all use that type of sticker. I can only assume they're more expensive.

Considering the reviews its gotten via online sites and the relatively short time to complete (under 8 hours)... Im not shocked that a used copy would find its way on to a gamestop shelf 2 days after release....

Sadly Im no help to the Topic Creator, i have the collectors edition on 360 and a busted scanner. (still trying to get the driver to work so i can scan my nes box for dick tracy.)

They are just confused on if it is new, why the cover is crappy.  Usually games are placed in that plasic film wrap.  I don't have the game to scan, sorry =\

Exactly, I wasn't suggesting or trying to imply anything, I was quite confused on how a new cover could be damaged in 2 days.
Hearing that the retailer was pretty much the reason clears that up.

I haven't bought a game from directly from a retailer off the shelf in some time. Typically my new game purchases come form Amazon (no stickers, no nothing just have to sometimes worry about the packaging...) or in rare circumstances I'll pre-order from Gamestop but since it's a pre-order, again there are usually no stickers, etc from the Gamestop store I visit.

Edit: Forgot to add, I've got a family member who has the PS3 version of this, I'll see if I can't get them to send me a scan.

In Australia at least, empty cases are put on the shelves, and the discs/cartridges/manuals are all kept in locked drawers behind the desk or in the back room. Unless you specifically ask for a sealed copy from the back, or you pre-order.
