Help with buying a new TV
lotusoftheleaf:
My little brothers' TV broke and I'm thinking of selling them my LCD TV because I'd much rather have a TV that works with a light gun. Is there a good quality CRT TV out there that's decently priced and has a big display and some good sound? My current TV has, like, no bass at all without additional speakers.
I'd prefer a TV that has at least two RCA inputs since I use two switch boxes for all my consoles. A headphone jack would be nice too, but it's not necessary.

all TV speakers suck imo. Just get an old component stereo and hook your TV up to that.

You could always do what I did and get a Casio NES TV lol

Keep your eye out for a Sony Trintron Wega. The 4:3 super fine Pitch versions came in sizes up to 36" and some versions also had HDMI inputs. Any of the Trintron models would be good, but the Wega version was the perfectly Flat Screen model. They were pretty much the pinnacle of CRT TVs.
They also made the WEGA and Wega XBR in 16:9 versions, but that is probably pointless for what you want.

I looked up a little info on those Trinitron's and so far people have only had good things to say. Will newer consoles like the Wii display alright on a TV like that? I'm trying to have all my consoles connected to just one TV and get as close to perfection as I can for all of them.
