I think they actually developed that one from the ground up, they just didn't bother with copyrights or any of the legal business.

Wow cool. That looks quite interesting. Do you know what a copy goes for?

That's a good question, I've never actually seen one for sale anywhere. Usually Chinese and Taiwanese pirates go for around $40 online.
And speaking of, Here's Pocket Monsters!

It is a pirate/unlicensed platformer, the game engine was developed by the pirates, so it's not exactly based on any other game. However it contains a lot of ripped content: the sound engine is ripped from High Seas Havoc, and the backgrounds are from Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure, Mr Nutz, Quackshot and Monster World IV. It's an ok game, better than some released on the MD, but not nearly as good as others. I always think of it as being about as good as the Bubsy games. I'd give it about 6/10. It would be a lot better if it didn't have a couple of annoying platform glitches, nothing that makes the game unplayable mind you, just annoying parts where platform movement doesnt' synch up properly and you have to move the screen back to reset it. There are some other small details like that which could've been easily fixed if the programmers just spent more time on this game, again nothing major, but small details that can make the difference between an acceptable game and a great one. Oddly enough this was also made for SNES, but the Sega version is a A LOT better.

I don't normally make these because I really don't like the J MD template all that much, but there seems to be quite a bit of demand for this one, so enjoy guys.
