I've done some new ones the last week:

Upcoming: Alien Trilogy, Aliens vs. Predator 1 & 2, Duke Nukem 3D - Caribbean, Duke!Zone, Terminator Future Shock, Blood 2 Nightmare Levels

I have edited the spines at all covers. The reason is that i thought they were to chaotic since i have centered the titles in the past.
Now the titles begin at the same spot, i have also removed the company logos and added a mini cover. I'm looking forward to hear what you think about it.

Here is an example:

Wow those look fantastic!

I'm new on the site and looking to make some covers for my Star Trek PC games. Have these templates (Windows and DOS) been released? I can't find them in this thread or the templates thread. I saw several pages back Shenske was making some like this and someone asked if he'd put them up, but I didn't see a link.

Hi again,
it's Alien and Predator day, so here come the next ones.
Currently i have no paper to make a test-print, but i hope the quality is okay.

Unfortunately i wasn't able to get a copy of Duke Caribbean :(
(if anybody has the original with box and likes to sell it, think of me! - Also for "Nuclear Winter".)

These are coming soon: Blood 2 UK, Blood 2 Nightmare Levels UK and US, The Terminator - SkyNet, Duke 3D Duke!Zone, Redline Gang Warfare 2066, Unreal, Unreal - Return to Na Pali.

@TyrannicalFascist
Thank you! I try to make the covers as good as i can.
I'm not completely pleased with every cover but thats how i can do it at the moment. :)

No, the templates have not been released. I've just put them together by myself.
I can upload the template on box.net if you like.
But mention: they are not very special and due to the fact that use PhotoImpact, the different layers and logos are not well assortet. :)

When working on Skynet could you please make one without the "Games for" bar?  Also if possible can I get Duke Nukem 3d without the "Games For" bar

That's right, for the DOS Bar i have used this or another cover as base because i like they way it looks!
(but i only took the round DOS Logo, the rest has been made by myself).
Also the Windows-bar logo was taken from another cover. If somebody has a problem with it, please tell me!
I don't want that somebody thinks that i steal his work to tell it was mine.

@elysianrsa
I have planned to edit them all later. For now i like to get them in one style before i start to convert them all without bar. :)
The reason is (i guess i have mentioned it somewhere already) that the big boxes don't fit perfectly to the DVD case format.
And i won't stretch them out of the original size. I mean who wants a fat or too thin Terminator on a cover? :)

Thanks! I like the look of the Games for Windows/MS-DOS style the best, so that's what I'd like to use for the Star Trek covers I have the assets to make. Only problem is I use Photoshop CS5. Maybe you could render out blank versions of each template (Windows, DOS) as a JPEG? Or if you prefer, I could just use one of your finished covers for each version and remove the non-template parts, effectively recreating the template.

Sorry to double post, but RecOne I went ahead and used two of your covers in your box.net files to create a template I could work on (hope that's ok). I also really like your idea of putting the tiny box art on the spine, so I emulated that.

So here's my first attempt at two three PC covers. Since these are the first of several Star Trek covers I plan to do, I thought it would be neat to have that game's commbadge at the bottom of the spine. I also added a unique System Requirements section at the bottom of the back cover to compensate for the back's size, rather than stretch it vertically. I started with two three classic Trek games I grew up with:

EDIT: Added Starfleet Academy preview.

Of course it's okay! Feel free to use the covers! Fortunately PhotoImpact gives me the possibility to save files as .psd.
I have already uploaded a zip file with the template to box.net! Maybe it's a help! (I just hope the file format fits).

Further don't expect too much from the template. :)

I'd love to take a look at the real covers! The previews look nice! The spines remind me of some Paramount DVD covers! :)

I just finished Redline, now i am on Unreal and Unreal Return to Na Pali.

Well, I've finished my first batch of covers to my satisfaction! If you want to download them, I've set up a box.net account that's now linked in my signature, as well as here.
The first batch of Star Trek covers includes The Next Generation: A Final Unity, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: Borg (DOS and Windows versions), Starfleet Academy (meant to include Chekov's Lost Missions in one set), Starship Creator, Star Trek: Legacy, and Star Trek: Armada.

Also, I made covers for the two earliest games I remember playing on DOS as a kid - Ducktales: The Quest for Gold and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Thanks! As you can see, I've been on a kick making them. :P

I have assets for all of those except Klingon Honor Guard, so I'll try to get those in the next batch. If you or anyone has a cover and back scan for Klingon Honor Guard, I could make one.

Since I'd somehow never heard of it, I was curious and did some looking, and eventually found the assets I needed for the Klingon Honor Guard cover. The back is still pretty low res for my liking, but it'll have to do until someone can get a scan of the back for me. It also gave me a chance to add the Klingon-style HUD for the System Requirements area and the Klingon symbol, which I'll use on a few other Klingon games. I've added the download to my box.net folder. Enjoy. ;D
