I really like that windows flag/MS DOS logo on the spine. Maybe moving it to the top in place of the "PC Game" label. I'd mock it up but I don't have a windows logo with transparency. Besides, It's pretty easy to figure out what I'm talking about. There's three ways we could do the logo too. You could use a background (like most, if not all, console spines), with a semitransparent background, (so it doesn't get in the way too much), or with no background at all (like it is on the bottom of the spine on your mockup)

This is a mockup I had done in July and figured I would upload it for some input:
It is very basic and has no actually writing on it. I used the look of the Games for Windows covers as a base

Is consistency in the size with other templates valuable to people? I have always tried to match the size of the template with what is currently standard.

I really like that as a starter - has my favorite bits from your old templates, and the GFW template.
The only thing is, for consistency, people would have to re-cover every new purchase if we go for a custom design as standard - perhaps not everyone is as anal about consistency as most of us - hahaha
in terms of your question about size - yes for me, size is important (hehe) i am planning to make myself a master template with the spine equally sized across all formats.

As with all templates i make everything is a separate layer and is editable. I found a super high rez logo on the net and recreated all gradient patterns for the top banner on the front and spine. It also has the "old PC DVD, PC CD" template included. It also has a normal and live option
so this is what i'm going to stick to ...
Games for Windows
