  • Think off-center.
I drink a lot of soda and usually buy between 8-16 12 packs of pop when its on sale. Usually 80-90% is Coca-Cola and i just get some other stuff to mix it up.  I am 100% on the coke side, its my absolute favorite soda and i even have ~3 or 4 coca-cola t-shirts i wear regularly.

@Doom
Caffeine no longer affects me. I can and have drank a can of soda right before i go to bed and slept soundly.  I brush my teeth a lot though  :D

Holy crizzap! You drink all that coke and u still have a throat? I literally cleaned an engine oil leak with a 20oz bottle of coke just because some one told me i can. Also when i was younger i took one of my baby teeth and let it sit in a cup with some coke in it and the tooth literally dissolved in just a few hrs.

Im with you on ur 2nd point, i can drink a cup of joe right before bed without being affected lol

It was good. I didn't throw a party (will do that on Saturday) since everyone had to work today. Well everyone but me, I took a week off from work. A few friends came over, some were even nice enough to bring presents :) We had a few beers, a few Vodkas (if you can find Nemirov Honey & Pepper Vodka...TRY IT!), played a few games. It was very relaxed.
Saturday will be different though. A bunch of relatives from all over the country, several friends. It's going to be great! :)

I knew you were my age. I think we talked about that some time ago. Well, 29 is not so bad, as long as the 2 is in front you're young :) 30 really feels different somehow. As strange as that sounds but it really does. Have to decide whether that's a good or a bad thing. Ask me again on Sunday when I have my first hangover in the new decade ;)

What is that like, I have never had one.

Honestly never, don't know why.

Like last New Year I downed 1 liter of Salty liquorice vodka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salmiakki_Koskenkorva) and 0.7 liters of peach Liqueur with whipped cream and some other drinks my friends and siblings had, during 10 hours.

True I was somewhat hammered, and next day bit tired (had been awake 36 hours) but no hangover.

Well, good for you. A hangover is really nothing you WANT to experience :) From what I have experenced so far, a best case scenario hangover is that you're just very tired no matter how long you slept, feel a bit uneasy and appetiteless. Nothing major. Worst case scenario is that you're VERY tired, a headache straight out of hell that won't go away no matter how many painkillers you take and a strong feeling of nausea so that you will cringe just when you think about eating. The longer it lasts the worse you feel, as you get a belly ache because you're very hungry but you can't really eat because you're afraid it comes out the same way it went in:) These are the two extremes. You can take precautions though so that it won't hit you that hard the next morning or won't hit you at all :)

But let me tell you this, if you haven't slept in 36 hours, downed 1l of vodka, a bottle of peach liqueur and some other drinks and didn't get a hangover...you're pretty much immune :D Must be your strong Scandinavian genes. You people can drink a LOT. When I was on vacation in Turkey last summer there were some Icelanders in our hotel we used to hang out with and when my friends and me were starting to feel the alcohol they were still stone cold sober :)

Oh, and by the way. That salty liqueur looks very intruiging :)

Thanks! :) Actually in Germany you can also say Happy Birthday. Probably 80% of the birthday cards here say "Happy Birthday". If you wanted to say it in German the two most common expressiosn are "Alles Gute zum Geburtstag" and "Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag"

I stick to the Bulmers Pear now and rarely suffer. ;) I tried a Tennants Super a couple of weeks back "for a bet" and had a head banger before i got to the bottom of the tin ! Never again. (and Vladivar + DR Pepper is one to miss too).

Many happy returns Kaiser. :)
