Since we really don't have any way of telling when the site will be fully operational again, and since admins can apparently add covers to the site now, I was thinking we could temporarily make a thread for people to post links to finished covers to replace the site uploading feature until it comes back. The cover admins could check this thread to download, check, approve (or reject?), and add covers to the site until the site is fixed.

What does everyone think about this idea?

Good idea.

There has been many covers that have been said to ready, which I'm eager to have. Hint, hint BadChat

And if cover is rejected, admin could also tell why rejected:
If the cover is totally substandard, just say too many flaws to list.
If only little is of, tell what needs to be corrected.

I hope this isn't too far off this threads topic. It seems like there's a lot of members waiting to upload who knows how many items (I myself have a very large number). I don't know much about servers, but could it be possible to crash TCP's if everyone uploads all their built up covers/scans at the same time? Or would the upload feature just stop working?

We should be fine even if everyone starts uploading at once.

And on that note, someone give it a try. Turns out it was a php config issue where the max upload was set to 2M versus 20M on the old server.
