  • ...and that's the bottom line
And hard work stolen? Anyone who has contributed to this site knows they'll get nothing out of the hard work they put in other than the fact that they know someone somewhere may get huge satisfaction getting a cover for one of their games. Actually .... it's a bit of a buzz seeing one of your covers has been downloaded a bazillion times   ;D

Exactly! I see it just as helping other people out, from gamer to gamer, as corny as it may sound. And I have to admit, every now and then I check my uploaded covers to see how useful they were to other people :) ...yeah, allright, I guess it's some tender loving care for my ego, too. I know I'll be one happy puppy as soon as all my PS2 covers are posted :D

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for your kind words and critique as well. I'm am very pleased that anyone finds my work helpful. As I browse the net I AM kindly surprised and reasurred that thera are many more like me, who do stuff out of pure ENJOYMENT for others to watch or use. My wife thinks it pointless, but to me it is almost a religious. I just love the artwork aspect of video game industry. Makes me happy that I can share it with others.

'Cuz if we all did what we do without being able to share with others, it would be pointless.

As to lack of spines on my boxed games, such as N64 or SNES, I will from now on include entire scans of covers. Good point. Thanks.

Again, even we may never meet in person, it is still nice that people can provide input wether good or bad, in adult and professional manner. Thank you all and I wish you all to have as much fun with your stuff as I do with mine.

... now I'm gonna go attend my significan other, before she divorces. lol.

My wife thinks it pointless, but to me it is almost a religious.

Multiply that by running 2+ sites and you have me. ;) In her defense, she doesn't think it's really pointless, but there are times where she wonders what the benefit of it all is.

Haha. Yeah .... you should've heard my wife when I told her I was selling off all my PAL N64 gear to get USA N64 stuff just to scan the covers for this site.

"Why oh Why?" but with a few more "what a waste of money for this crap" type comments come back to haunt me from time to time.

Seriously though I think you'll find the serious members of this little community know exactly how you feel when your works end up elsewhere and no mention made of where it came from nor reference to the creator. I suppose we have some idea of how movie producers/writers feel when their product is disseminated without their approval. Food for thought .....

Nice. Nice. Well, I think Anette (SignOther) just doesn't care. She loves me with all my faults (just about all of them, lol). As far as she knows, I'm at home. Not getting shitfaced at some bar. Not that this isn't such a bad idea (once in a while).

I dunno even why I like it. I just do. But I see your point. Sell PAL to buy NTSC! Too much for me, but afterall I DID buy japanese FAMICOM on eBay just so I could touch it with my own hands... I promised myself I would sell it, but we all know I ain't gonna do that anytime soon.

I have a large project in mind in upcoming months. I want to start scanning my Nintendo Power magz. I have all of them, many repeats too. I found out that someone scanned all of them and posted them on USENET via Retromags.com, but I wasn't able to determine the actual quality of the scans. I wanna do it myself. To have the satisfaction I suppose. I'll see how this will pan out.

All the nintendo power mags are available on a few ratio torrent sites now if you're into those.  I know underground gamer for sure still has them (and a few other magazine collections).  If you really want I can burn them on dvd for you and send them off your way.  The quality overall is great in my opinion, they even went as far as to scan in the additional little items that sometimes came with the magazines.  I wouldn't ask anything in return.

As for quality, I'm not too sure why this site uses 300dpi and not 600, that's the quality of my color laser (and to my knowledge the highest available for color lasers) so I feel like it's not using the full potential, but whatever.  And as already mentioned, yeah this site is great about giving credit, so hopefully one day we can fill in some blanks with your high quality stuff.  Thanks.

Nate

oh pm me with your addy and ill send them out after the superbowl!  I'm in Chicago so I can't wait.
