work ... sad i know. 9-12 (job 1), 12:30-5:30 (job 2), 6-9 (job 1). Both jobs are in different cities. Tomorrow will be fun though, two parties and rocky mountain showdown!

I'd normally be working (I work overnight), but after all the crap that's happened over the past few days I don't think I'm going to go.

I've been chilling catching up on my Hulu queue and listening to lots of music. Got in a bit of drum practice too. School already started for me this monday, and I'm gonna be extremely busy for my last year in high school. Gotta wake up and drive out there tomorrow morning for cross country practice too. I pretty much took the night off from working just to relax for a bit. I think I'm going to bed early tonight too, I'm exhausted. I'm not exactly partying but sometimes just throwing the playlist on shuffle and chatting on AIM is enough to keep me happy for the night.

Blah. Slow night, here. I did a live stream of FF4 earlier this evening for about 2 hours. Went out to eat. Came home and finished the television series I've been watching. Now I'll probably spend some time working on some long overdue translation projects. Yay for excitement. :D

I went to work tonight and got my finger sliced open. What joy. I don't have a day off until Tuesday, so no fun for me this Labor Day weekend.  :'(

Sure this isn't about my friday, but eh why not:

I was on campus at school all day yesterday since I had cross country in the morning and class challenges at night. I got to sit back and chug arizona iced teas while hanging out with my friends all day, then our class won for the 4th year in a row. Also I finally reunited with the school drum set for an hour or two and got my severe blisters back. Time to stock up on bandaids again ;)

Today I was barely able to move on account of such a long week, but I got to sit around play a few hours of Metroid M at my friend's house today. The atmosphere feels pretty heavily like Metroid Fusion in terms of the ship you're exploring. (Which I don't mind, since I have a bit of a nostalgic soft spot for Fusion) Some of the story stuff is kinda eh, but I didn't get very far so I can't judge it yet. The gameplay is really solid, but I'm not sold on the first person aiming yet. Sometimes it's annoying, other times it feels intuitive. Also having to aim around in first person to find a specific pixel to advance the plot sucks. It's the only thing I hate about it so far. Also they could have come up with a better explanation why you can't use some of your abilities at the offset. You're a freelance bounty hunter helping out the federation. Authorization my ass. I don't care if she trips on a rock and loses her powers, it'd be a better explanation than what they already have...

In other news, I still need a job...

All of you are making me feel really old (even though I am). This probably describes my night: Boring old guy sitting around the house bored.

My wife left for the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon about four hours ago. She's worked it for the last 26 years.
