Last year was the first year I had a camera with me @ PAX and I recorded some choice events that I uploaded to my youtube channel.

This year I'm again going to be bringing my 720p handy-cam with me to catch some choice footage of the exhibit show floor. It can record up to 8 hours, and I'll be there all day Friday, so I will try to hit up as many booths as possible. Unlike last year though I doubt I'll be going to any of the Q&A's as the lines/waits for those can get ridiculous.

I'm for sure hitting up these booths:
Bioware, Capcom, D3, EA, Mega64, Microsoft, Nintendo, Rooster Teeth, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, The Behemoth, Ubisoft, & Valve.

Here's a link to the show floor map so you guys and gals can see what companies will be there showing off upcoming games:
http://www.paxsite.com/paxprime/expohallmap.pdf

Nonetheless, If there are any requests for specific games/booth that you all would like footage of, let me know, and I'll do my best to record some of it.

BTW if you're unawares PAX aka"Penny Arcade Expo" is the biggest videogame convention that is open to regular fans, and not just media/distributors. Last year there was about 60,000 attendees and this year there's over 75,000 taking up the whole Washington State Convention Center in Downtown Seattle, WA. All the big names and game companies are there, and Warren Spector (Deus Ex fame) is doing this years keynote address succeeding Kevin Levin (Bioshock fame) as last year's keynote speaker. To say it's an awesome event is an understatement!  8)

Awesome to hear :P what exactly are you looking forward to playing the most? And are you going to any of the extracurricular activities? This is my 3rd year in a row now and I'm trying to focus my priorities on just the exhibit hall. There's so much else going on that you can miss a lot! And yeah the swag, we got so many tees, posters, and utter garbage dumped into our bags just for shits and giggles...

Since it's the whole convention hall being used up now here's hoping it won't be as crowded as '08!

Yeah, '08 was the only other time I went and it just overwhelmed me so much. I'm definitely gonna stop by the Sony booths and play some inFamous 2 first, but otherwise probably just gonna look around the exhibition hall a lot. Try Super Scribblenauts and some Nintendo games. I'm definitely going to the SEGA Party on Saturday night though, it sounds fun. Ugh, soo excited :D

it'll definitely be some good times. When I went in '08 I came away with very little (only going one day and not being able to go until after school got out sucked). This year I'm bringing an empty backpack to carry as much as I can get :P

Watchout with the backpacking. We did that in '08 and our backs were killing us the next day! They usually have booth babes giving out big bags to carry swag in. Last year all I carried coming in was my handy-camera and my back thanked me, as the giant swag bag given out to attendees was enough to fill with everything we got. I think we only bought a Katamari shirt from the Namco booth, and the rest (7 tees, 5 posters, tons of other stuff/etc.) was free swag. Happy hunting!

I was so excited I only got 4 & 1/2 hours of sleep the last night! I woke up @ 5:45am this morning and have been up and out enjoying PAX all day today! I didn't get home till 2:20am!!! SOOOO EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!

But I got over 50 video clips of various games, booths, and events! I even got footage of the special Dead Rising 2 after party that was advertised as a zany hardware store blowout sale! And I got to meet some really cool guys and gals from around the USA/Canada.

Well, I'm off to bed now, I'm gonna rest my dogs tomorrow, watch my Gators handle their business, and work on uploading as much as I can for those who couldn't make it to PAX; until the Sega party @ Gameworks! Peace & chicken grease people!

There was no footage allowed in the Duke Nukem Booth, pictures were fine, but no video. It was (and probably still will be) live on uStream all day though. I had a lot of fun too, but no rest for me! I have the 3-day pass haha. Got 5 shirts yesterday and a few other goodies (Sackboy plush ftw!), can't wait to get more crap I don't need today and tomorrow :P

I just got back from the SEGA PAX Party @ Gameworks and it was a friggen BLAST! 5 full hours of arcade free play, free dinner, free desserts, free drinks (alcoholic ones too!), raffles, and the best free swag of the con IMO! To be honest I'm kinda jittery and frazzled and my girl has passed out behind me from the overkill to our senses, LMAO!

As for the videos I mass uploaded over 50 of them to my channel earlier today but haven't had much time to properly label them, which I'll get to in the next couple of days. I got some footage of the Sega party tonight as well, but not a lot. There was a group of over 20 ppl cosplaying as different Valkyria Chronicles characters together and they looked absolutely great! I got some footage of them and of the place in general which I'll upload tomorrow as well. Check the link for the footage and I've given Snowcone permission to use it as long as he credits me/my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/PDDestro

P.S.
I don't know if I met you at the Sega Party, Phantom, I was the big pony-tailed guy, all in black, with the rare Sega Genesis 16-bit "ABC" t-shirt that no one else had on. Damned if I can't find a pic online. Anyways hope you had fun dude!
