Is there ANY point to 120hz TVs?
Well, they have 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz. It's the refresh rate at which the TV can process. Obviously the higher, the better.
Here's a video explaining:

I'm sorry to drag the TV thing out a bit more but this post (and that video)
really bother me. Higher hertz is not necessarily better. For something like sports (or games) this guy is absolutely right. When it comes to...well, anything not sports or games though, he is ever so wrong. 120hz is (surprisingly) ideal for movies. Film is run at roughly 24 frames per second, and doing a 5:5 (each frame is shown 5 times) pulldown, it can be shown at its intended projection rate. This is why Blu-Ray advertises 24p. I'd imagine the same would be true at 240hz for a 10:10 pulldown, though I'm not sure if this is supported. Once you hit 120hz+ (for things that aren't on Blu), it gives everything a pretty crappy video shot look. A lot of Hollywood people are actually pretty displeased with these high refresh rate TVs, because they take all of their work and make it look amateur.
Anywho, I'm glad you enjoy your TV. You did get a killer deal, and honestly, once you get an HDTV calibrated, I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between brands.
