A thought occurred to me, would this matchup allow you to include all the attachments the Genny received? Because if so then it's the NES vs. the SMS, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, & Sega CD 32X...

There are always the SNES/NES/Genesis combo consoles out there. CGR did a review of the Retron 3 if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmiLoAhYFec

These things aren't without problems though. A few games don't play very well with them and I'm not sure if it's compatible with any of the Genesis' add-ons, but it's still a great deal if you're looking for less clutter and are tight on cash.

Those clone consoles have compatibility issues and inaccurate sound emulation. I'd avoid them personally.
