A japanese Mega Drive for God's sake! :D No, really. Mega Drive/Genesis for sure. No comparison. Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Alien Soldier? the Streets of Rage trilogy? all the great Sega/Disney games? Still my favourite console ever. |

I'll need to get another input box if I get both, in which case I could probably try to make even more room on my stand and get more consoles. But then I'd also need to buy another power strip because mine around about full. I need more than just three outlets in my room! Two of them aren't even anywhere near where my TV stand will fit. --- End quote --- take a look in the hardware section of wal-mart (or wherever you go), they should have some surge protectors with extra long cords. |

i store my consoles in those plastic sweater boxes with cables and such. When i watch the Angry Video Game Nerd hooking up an Atari5200 with all those systems hooked-up at once, i scream "FIRE HAZZARD!" it freaks me out. i hook mine up, play, when i want to switch, it goes back in it's box, onto the plastic etagere and then the other one gets hooked up. I even trained my son, who would want to play one system, then a different one, then...smack! one system at a time! so, BOTH (but Sega Genesis is my fave) |

It's not like anyone's saying to daisy chain power strips ... which is the only time it is ever really a fire hazard. It's actually better than plugging them strait into the wall so ... (I may not personally know too much on the mater, but my dad's never complained about it and he's a Fire Lieutenant over here). On Topic: Choosing both is probably smart :P you can't really go wrong with either system, it just comes down to Nintendo games vs Sega games. |

The only reason I would pick the NES over the Genesis is that (IMO) almost all of the good games on the Genesis have been re-released in some form that can be played on the Wii, 360 and PS3. The NES on the other hand has lots of games that have yet to see the light of day since the NES era ended. |
