An idea for a game website I want to make

A project that I've wanted to do for the past while is make a website where someone can sign up and keep track of what they've done in a game. I know about the http://backloggery.com/ but I want something more in depth. That just says started, completed, mastered for the most part. I want something more. Take Majora's Mask for example. You'd be able to check off each of the masks that you have, each heart container, etc. It would then give you a rough percentage of how much of the game you've completed. Then it could average out all your games and tell you how much of your games you've beaten. Then maybe compare it to other people who have signed up, too. A lot of work to do? Very much so.
In addition to coding the whole thing, I'd need to get the various progress things in games. I'd need to rely on users a lot for that one, since I don't own every game myself. I like the way that http://www.cyberscore.me.uk/ adds games to their list. They need 5 users to vote saying they want the game and then someone needs to submit all the charts for the game. Something similar to that would be wanted. But the first step in all this is figuring out how to code the thing, which I really can't do on my own since I don't have the training to do something this big. It's also too big of a project to really ask someone to do for free unless they were really wanting to contribute. I guess I'm just stuck in the planning phase of this until some unknown time, which is where you guys come in!
What are your thoughts on this idea of mine? Any suggestions? Comments? Hate mail?

It sounds like an outrageous task.. but it would be a nice ordeal. There are probably reasons why nobody has done this before, perhaps it's quite hard, perhaps it takes a long time.. but I think if you had a community sort of like The Cover Project here, then getting all of those charts for the games would be quite simple. I think it would be a matter of time before you succeed, you just need a good start before launching, perhaps have a line up of recent games. I can't really offer you any advice/support since I have no idea about websites.. but I wish you luck! ;)

It sounds like a pretty cool idea. To me it sounds like an archive of tons of interactive walkthroughs, all networked together by user updates. There's a Bioshock 2 interactive guide out there, with maps and all. I used it as a checklist to avoid multiple playthtoughs, and I think it,d be cool to see more of them. The only problem eould be using them as just checklists and not guides, in order to avoid spoilers. Otherwise you might as well be tracking a bunch of cheaters more or less.
