I was at my Dads house over the weekend, and found a couple of crates of Amiga games (I thought i already had them all in my loft) - so started having a little play around.

So far:

Had planned on just using this myself, and based it on LJ's CD32 template, crossed with my own personal multiformat slimline template.  Would anyone be interested in me tidying up for site use?(the template not specifically the nightbreed cover)

edit:  if anyone can help with a UPC of the above game, it'd be much appreciated.

Great. In which case I'll tidy it up and I think make it interchangeable between amiga and st and have it ready for when we can add to the site.

Yes there was supposed to be a trilogy, but the final one got canned because the 1st 2 were so awful.

Never heard of it. Might have to track it down. I have Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Atari 2600 and Firday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street for NES just because I'm a fan of the franchises. They are awful games but nice collectibles:) And Nightbreed is one of the best Horror films ever made.

But back on topic. I like your template. It's simple (in a good way) and nothing too fancy. Plus it's one of the few templates that isn't all black ;)

I thought about this too in the past few weeks because Amiga games take up such an awful lot of space on a shelf.

I like your template idea sheep but don't you think that a slimline approach could be a bit of a problem for games with many disks? Like Simon the Sorcerer, Space Quest IV,Bloodnet, Biiiing!, etc.

Yup - the 7mm cases i currently have are not the best, there's some bulging when a manual is included - am thinking going 9mm for most games - multi disk (more than 2) games can be housed in a standard DVD case, or larger on an adhoc basis.  Maybe i should have a try with DS cases, although there's no chance of a manual fitting that.  Any suggestions out there?

I just don't have the room to go full width on these :o

(although we may be looking at moving house/country, and a pre-requisite for the new place is a LARGE library/games room.  Maybe i'll even get that arcade machine i've always craved............)  Gotta have a dream right?

Well if you have a slim template already made, you'd might aswell make a standard template too. I dont have any Amiga games but I know that no matter how short on space I get, Ill never convert to slim. Never liked the idea. Im sure theres others out there who feel the same. No cover btw! ;D

Thin and Regular

I do prefer the regular sized myself, as more flexibility on spine logo's, more discs in the case, bigger manuals.............. but matched size with my slim template.  it still might change...............

playing with my new scanner and decided to revisit this project that has been on my back burner for.............8 months!

Have now moved, and have more space to play with, so going with standard sized DVD cases.

I quite like the look:

I'm all fire and flame for it!!!!! I hate those ugly huge boxes Amiga games came in.

Would scan all in that I have if you'd need some. I have not that much Amiga games but those I could try to scan(all are medium to huge cardboard boxes):

Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate, The(2 DISKS)
Cadaver(2 DISKS)
Castle Master(1 DISK)
Castles(2 DISKS)
Darkmere: The Nightmare's Begun(4 DISKS)
Dungeon Master II: The Legend Of Skullkeep(6 DISKS)
Eye of the Beholder(3 DISKS)
Feud(1 DISK)
Hollywood Pictures(3 DISKS)
King's Quest VI: Heir Today, gone Tomorrow(10 DISKS)
Pizza Connection(4 DISKS)
Rainbow Islands(1 DISK)
Settlers, The(Siedler, Die)(3 DISKS)
Shadowlands(2 DISKS)
Silent Service II(2 DISKS)
Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco And The Time Rippers(7 DISKS)
Ultima VI: The False Prophet(3 DISKS)
Valhalla: Before the War(6 DISKS)
Vikings: Fields Of Conquest (Kingdoms Of England 2)(1 DISK)

You want? Or maybe share the template? :)

Pizza Connection and Ultima VI..oh the memories. I'm glad this project is still alive. The Amiga is such an amazing piece of hardware and had some of the best games ever.

Awesome.  I'll send over the template tik, then any modifications can be done now before too many covers are made.

Could do with you casting your eye over it regardless.

edit - template now in my box.net: http://www.box.net/shared/u2yxcch7jc

oh and Kaiser - yes - co many hours spent in front of my Amiga growing up.  Got my first Saturday job to save up and buy it too!
