Just out of curiousity, what do you usually find playing when you're making your covers.

Lately for me, it's been a mix of Passion Pit, Hercules and Love Affair, and She & Him.

Well, I don't make any covers. I just process the covers people like you and the other great cover artists create :) But I like to listen to music while doing that because it's a very monotonous activity. So I listen to anything that gets me into a more upbeat and productive mood.

Right now it's mainly Parkway Drive's "Deep Blue" album and KISS and Creedence Clearwater Revival Greatest Hits :)

Holy crap someone else who listens to Parkway Drive!

I don't make or process covers (though I wouldn't mind helping you guys a bit), but I listen to a hell of a lot or music at all times. I usually leave my extremely large iTunes library on shuffle, but lately I've been listening to A7x and Amon Amarth. Also on the mellowed side Ive been getting into some Daft punk. It keeps my brain active and the creative juices flowing.

(Celldweller, and Happy 2B Hardcore Cds lately mostly)

Have you heard Avengenged Sevenfold's new single "Nightmare" yet? It's a killer song.
And yeah I listen to Parkway Drive, I love the solos and their breakdowns, feels almost like 2 or 3 different songs in one. I'm late to the party though, I just know them since their "Horizons" album. I heard the albums before that but it really clicked with me starting with "Horizons".

I was actually thinking of opening up a thread just like this the other day.

Holy crap someone else who listens to Parkway Drive!

Nice to see Im not the only metal head here. Its all I listen to. Im a big fan of complicated off patterns, poly rythms and sick breakdowns! Ive been listening to Parkway Drive for a couple years now. I actually went to see them in Toronto last summer. Best show ever! Im a little dissapointed in Deep Blue tho. Not quite as brutal as Killing with a Smile and Horizons. Never was a fan of A7X, cant stand the singer. Not sure if anyone knows about A Plea For Purging but Ive been listening to their new album latey. So heavy! Also going to a show in town on the August 13th to see The Holly Springs Disaster, Architects and Structures which are all pretty brutal bands.

Heres a nice list of some of my favorites that will tear your face off:

- A Plea For Purging - The Eternal Female - Molevolence
- Born of Osiris - Open Arms to Damnation - Live Like Im Real
- After The Burial - Aspirations - A Steady Decline
- Veil of Maya - Its Not Safe to Swim Today - We Bow In Its Aura
- Miss May I - Appologies Are for the Weak - Arms of the Massiah
- Blind Witness - Baby One More Notch - Since the Beginning
- August Burns Red -  Composure - Consumer
- The Human Abstract - Vela, Together We Await The Storm - Nocturne
- The Holly Springs Disaster - Departure - Still Waters
- Asking Alexandria - The Final Episode - Nobody Dont Dance No More
- The Devil Wears Prada - Sassafras - Danger: Wildman
- This or the Appocalypse - Mauna Kea - Architeuthis

You should definetly check those songs out as Im positive you'll find a few you'll really enjoy. If you have any bands that I didnt mention in here that you think I might like, post it up and Ill check it out. Im always looking for sick new bands to listen to.
