No problem... I suppose you didn't see the thread cause it's a really old project which unfortunately is sleepping a bit at the moment.... I just remembered that lumber started something ages ago....

More FDS covers are always very welcome!

I downloaded some Famicom Disk System covers from here and printed one with Paint.NET (I followed the printing guide), but the whole page was used! How do I get it to print the FDS cover to scale? I want to submit many of my own covers, but I want to know how to properly get the FDS covers to print the correct size.

Thank you

When printing make sure the image is at 100% aspect ratio.  FYI FDS covers will take up slightly more than your average 8.5 x 11 paper so you will need to print on 8.5 x 14.

FDS covers are only  like 3 inch X 6 inch or something when taken out of the jewel cae...that's why i need the exact measurements of an FDS disk cover because when I download one of the FDS covers from here, it takes up the whole page, but should only take a fraction of that since an  FDS disk including the jewel case is slightly larger than a 3.5" floppy disk.

I think you are referring to a FDS label (the sticker that is placed on the disk), not the cover.  If that is the case then I do not know the exact measurements of the label.

If you print them at 100% aspect ratio as i previously mentioned they should automatically printout to the correct size. Also make sure that when you print you do not have the box checked that says "fit to screen" or "fit to paper size".  :)

No, I never said anything about printing the sticker. I want to print the cover that goes inside of the jewel case. It is not larger than 8.5" X 11", in fact it is like 3" X 6", but since the scans on this site are much larger, I need to know the exact measurements so I can scale them down properly.

Take a look at this comparison picture (an FDS cover right next to a 3.5" floppy disk):

so you see, there is no way that an FDS cover will be bigger (or even near) than an 8.5" X 11" paper

You do want to print out the LABEL! :P lol
What you are referring to is the label not the cover.

Here I'll do it for you  :)
When you do what i was saying before it results in 5.66" x 3.16" in 100% aspect ratio.

Every time I print 100% aspect ratio, it takes up the whole page

*edit*

I found out that the above can be done with Word 2007. You insert the FDS cover as a picture, right click and choose size. Height is 5.66"  and Width is 3.14". If you go to Picture Border, you can choose a border around the cover, so it's easier to cut it out (since most covers have white around the edges). You can fit two covers on one page.

Thanks to all that helped!

I have noticed that you guys have famicom disk system covers but why no famicom covers? These would be ideal since a Famicom cart fits in a Genesis box, so I assume it would fit in UGC box. games like Binary Land, Banana, Chack'n Pop need justice...or boxes either one!

In most it's becasue there are little to none FCM raw images available and also very few people have expressed interest in them.
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

They are mixed with NES covers as they are the same console, As are Mega Drive and genesis, Mega-CD and Sega-CD.
