My computer is too crap to do editing of covers but I can scan covers of many games.

I have 200+ nes and 100+ Snes and i have most of their covers are ( or atleast should be )hidden somewhere in storage.

Where can I send unedited pictures of covers if/when I find them?

  • ...and that's the bottom line
Holy cow! 200+ NES and 100+ SNES games mostly boxed? You're going to be veeeery popular around here :)

Unedited pictures of covers are referred to as "raw scans" here. On the left of this page you see the link "upload a cover. Clicking that link will take you here:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/upload.php

Fill in the form and then mark the box which says "This is a raw scan. After that your raw scans will show up here:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/

I'll move the raw scans to their platform folder. Just browse the NES and SNES category of the raw scans to see what they should look like and how you should name them. And last but not least, scan your covers at 300dpi. Dedicated cover makers will pick up your raw scans and create covers from them.

Oh, and before I forget, welcome to the project! :)

I hope the covers are still safe.

I found them finally, unfortunately my mother had moved them to our outside shed which is not water resistant, nor it's dog proof.

ALL WERE DESTROYED ( altought I might find some covers laying around somewhere).

Indeed. Large quantities of SNES and espicially NES boxes are extremely rare. I had high hopes you'd be able to supply us with covers. Its a damn shame.

I know this is old topic, but that's the point:

This was my first topic on the site, and also the first post.

That was 5 years ago from today...

Time flies... :D

I feel old.... 8)

Oh man, I didn't look at the date. I though it was a new thread.

Still, I died a little reading that. If all of my boxes were destroyed I honestly think I would kill someone.

Yeah, been buying new ones, and most (if not all) that were lost someone else has been able to scan.

True.

I would still be devastated though. I love having the original boxes for all my games.

Its this site's fault that I don't have more games in my possession because of all the money I've spent on UGCs, paper, and ink.  ;D

(Totally worth it, though, when you have a few long shelves full of cased games all lined up and lookin' spiffy.)
