new user - UGC questions

Hi,

I'm from the Netherlands and just registered to the board after reading a looot of topics on this board and experimenting a bit with some cover-creating. Also, I'll soon be making some scans of SNES boxes that aren't on this site yet and hopefully I'll be able to contribute in some other ways as well.. This website is extremely nice and I can't believe I found out about it so late!

Now, I've got a few questions about the Universal Game Cases sold by mediashelving.com that I hope someone could answer:

1. Do PAL carts fit in properly? And do US carts fit, with their dust-sleeve on? I have a few universal game cases that are not the ones sold on mediashelving.com and they seem to be a little different.

2. Exactly how much space is there for the game manuals? Mediashelving.com says the measurements of the box are 7,25x5,25 inch, but exactly what is the maximum size for the manuals to fit in?

Depends on what PAL carts you are talking about. Almost everything besides for NES games fits perfectly without modification. I wrote a guide on how to mod the UGC cases for NES games.

As for space, it all depends on where you want to put the manuals. Besides for custom largers manuals such as the Dragon Warrior bonus manual. I don't know exacts but you can either put them in the case or put them behind the front cover without much trouble.

I dont see why PAL games wouldnt fit since they are pretty much the exact same size as an NTSC game. And yes, they do fit with dust covers.

I heard UGC are only a bit bigger than standard Mega Drive cases. Is that so? How much exactly?

If you're asking about what to resize UGC's to, the answer is 3200 x 2044. It fits perfectly.

i don't have any so i don't know if they are only a couple of CM more - was just giving you a logical response as you were interested enuigh to bump
