really off topicish, but what do you have printed on the inside of that UGC cover?

EDIT: oh wait, that's the manual... durrrr

It looks really great though. I wonder how a metallic blue(ish) and red(ish) would look for Oracle of Seasons/Ages?

Bit off-topic:
If someone has good blue, red, green and/or yellow metallic paint, would you paint piece of plastic and post a pic.

I am planning on MAYBE (big fat maybe) painting some of my consoles.

I was thinking having metallic blue, red, green and yellow Gamecubes and Game Boy Players, controllers and Broadband Adapters.
Or maybe go crazy and have also metallic orange, violet, purple and turquoise ones as well (for 16 player Mario Karts).
Or maybe go lunatic and have metallic black and white ones also (for full on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (and some other) 4 player game that requires GC + 4 GBA's).

At the moment I have 5 cubes, 3 GBP's and 2 BBA's, so I'm on my way.

Also in planning is 16 Xbox 360's painted (either 16 different colors or before mentioned 8 colors in dark shades for players 1-8 and light shades for players 9-16).

Got 5 consoles so far.

When you're complete, we totally need to get together.

I have five cubes (1 black, 3 indigo and one Panasonic Q), each with a GameBoy Player and each with a Broadband Adapter (and each with Component video cables...).  Also, I've got five copies of Mario Kart: Double Dash.

Between the two of us, we could actually set up an 8-system match.

Aw... just saw in his profile, he's from Finland.  Well, that's not gonna happen.

Although, one of these days, I'd like to snag a Japanese copy of Double Dash to see if it'll link with the US copies...

Never say never, but improbable definitely.  ;D

It should as both are NTSC so the timing should match. PAL version with NTSC version most likely would not work.

Two letters other is the 6th, feel free to guess the other!  ;)

DAMN!!! Now I have reason to buy 16 Cubes with 16 GB Players (and because they have to be perfect 16 BBA's too) and probably the Component cables also.

It's a reference to UncleBob's 16 FB2K carts, and his attempt to get a tournament going.

UncleBob, do you hold any belief in the rumor that GB player multiplayer (ex. Super Circuit) is worse somehow than regular GBA multiplayer?

just a fyi, when I say metallic red/blue, I dont' mean exactly metallic red/blue.

more like a metallic uh... scarlet or something and a metallic indigo or something... you know what I mean, matching the overall color scheme of the game cart labels/boxes.

Arseen, get 5 tvs, 4 gameboy players, hook them all up to one gamecube via the GBA/GC cable, play a badass round of Four Swords Adventures.

I've done that.  Tip, though - you can use the Wii as the GameCube, then connect four GameCubes as Game Boys (via GBP).  This way, you only need four GameCubes. ;)

Sorta.
Nintendo doesn't recommend connecting multiple Game Boy Players together for multi-player.  On two very rare occasions (out of many), while play Four Swords (GBA version), the two systems came "unsynched" - where the action happening on one screen did not match the actions on the other screen, but the commands would do the same thing.

It should as both are NTSC so the timing should match. PAL version with NTSC version most likely would not work.

One of these days, I'll have to try it.  How cheap do copies of Double Dash go for over there? :)

Man last time I checked both Play N Trade and Gamestop were selling Double Dash for $40. Multiplayer sounds quite awesome though. Too bad the Wii and DS versions went back to single kart.

I've actually been pretty lucky picking up my copies of Double Dash.  Obviously, I got my first copy when it came out.  My second copy came from EBGames.com for $10 used.  Third copy came when I bought my second Game Cube - GameStop had a coupon buy a used GameCube for $29.99, get any used GameCube game free.  Which Double Dash sold for $29.99 used at the time.  Number four was bought at GameStop for $25 and #5 was bought through Walmart.com for $18.

Best thing - all five copies have the bonus disc with 'em. ;)
