Hah, might as well keep this on topic and post my setup finally. I kind of wish we had spoiler tags so this didn't take up so much space, but here it is:

Edit: fixed the sizes of all the pictures, Photobucket might take a little bit to acknowledge the changes though :P

Here's my obnoxiously small TV, my 360 Elite, my Xbox, and a PS2 slim. Note the speakers that are probably more expensive than the crappy tv they're used with:

Aaaand on the other side we have my Gamecube, PS1, and N64.The blue fan or cluster of wires at the bottom keeps my N64 from overheating and freezing :P

All my console games. The manuals at the top right are to games I'm currently lending out. Also behind my guitar is a buster sword I got as a gift that I have no idea what to do with. I've also got one N64 minibox so far :D

DS/PSP games as well as some manga and comic book collections.  I've got about 500 comic books/gaming magazines boxed up in the attic somewhere as well.

My small DVD/CD collection, as well as my tower of controllers. Bottom drawer is for audio equipment and the one above that holds all my portables.

Since it's technically gaming related, my ION drum set that I've been modding for a while. I've added a real hi-hat stand with a magnet switch attached, nice double bass pedals that my school thought was broken, some official Rock Band silencer pads underneath the rubber (makes a huge difference), and 2 seven pound weights to keep the kick trigger from shaking like crazy. Overall I've only spent $100 on it, and I pretty much never use the thing for Rock Band anymore.

To spare you more pictures, the only thing that's missing is my Mac, which sits on a pretty barren desk next to my TV. The scanner/printer is hidden somewhere else in the house and I can use it wirelessly.  Any questions about the specifics of my collection can probably be answered by going to my Backloggery, but ask away anyway :D

How do you live with such a small TV? For any HD system, that's comically small. I'm sure it's OK (maybe even better) for older systems.

I really don't. Any text in most 360 games is pretty much impossible to read, but all my other consoles are ok. The speakers are there because my TV speaker (its mono for chrissakes) is pretty much shot. I've been looking into getting an adaptor to use an old monitor from a Sony computer we used to have, which honestly isn't much bigger, just better suited for widescreen. I'm pretty sure this TV has been around almost as long as I have, and I'm getting kind of sick of it :P

oh good I was about to say "you didn't SERIOUSLY buy some Axis pedals for rock band did you?" Those ARE nice double-kick pedals, they're worth more than the rest of that kit combined.

I'm not much of a drummer, but I've been really wanting to get into it. Unfortunately living in an apartment means that acoustic drums are out. How well do those ions work as a practice/electronic kit would you say?

Yeah, the Axis pedals were a really lucky find. So much better than the crappy single pedal that came with it. I'm kind of big footed anyway and these are amazing to play heel-toe on. I'm really excited that Harmonix is releasing an official MIDI to controller converter, so I can finally use my kick trigger and double bass pedals with Rock Band/Guitar hero. I know there are plenty of ways to do it now, but I'd prefer an official converter and not the Kick Box or a Guitar Hero drum module.

As a practice kit, I love this thing (though I so wish I had the room/soundproofing for a full acoustic set).  I do say, I got this thing secondhand, and the stock rubber under the pads was terrible, not to mention abused. $20 for some official RB silencers to replace it worked like magic. If you don't mind spending the extra money, RockBandParts.com has an "ultimate kit" that comes with the controller plus drum brain and all sorts of goodies. Even though many drum teachers would disagree with me, I taught myself drums through Rock Band, and having an Ion kit wouldn't be a bad way to start out. I did eventually drop Rock Band and did daily 1 hour practices alone with the acoustic kit at my school, which made a huge difference. Just make sure to spend some time learning your rudiments and simple drum theory as well :D

Those are pretty affordable, I'd imagine even moreso used. I'll probably hunt around on ebay for a while to see if I can find a good deal on at least a base kit and add pieces on little by little I think. Gotta fix my truck first though!

Still though, something I'm keeping my eye out for.

Yeah that's almost exactly what I was planning on getting. I just haven't had the $40 to spend for a while and I might have a chance at getting one for cheap from my girlfriend's dad. Plus I just rediscovered this monitor a few days ago lol

make sure the monitor works before dropping the $40 on the adapter

Oh, and I like your Chrono Trigger Poster.  I don't think i could use the ones I have up on the wall without a frame or something so that they retain value.

It actually came with the first run of copies of Chrono Trigger for the DS. When I got it used from my friend somehow I got the manual and poster but no case o.0
Not pictured above my wall are a bunch of posters from gaming magazines/the movie theater used in order to try to cover up the flowery wallpaper I can't do anything about until I move out :P

did you use The Cover Project to fix that case-less, art-less game dilemma?

Nice, I see you have all the Resident Evil Novels. I have Book 1,2 and 3 and my roomate grabbed all of them for a buck each a couple weeks ago.

Yeah those were the only things that kept me sane when I had mandatory study halls in middle school and no magazines allowed. I actually remember blowing through book 2 in one night on the back of a friend's boat. Good times. I'm afraid to go back and read them now though because I feel like they might not hold up to my storytelling  "standards" these days :P
