Post up Your Gaming Setup's...
juan0tron:
Hah, might as well keep this on topic and post my setup finally. I kind of wish we had spoiler tags so this didn't take up so much space, but here it is:
Edit: fixed the sizes of all the pictures, Photobucket might take a little bit to acknowledge the changes though :P
Here's my obnoxiously small TV, my 360 Elite, my Xbox, and a PS2 slim. Note the speakers that are probably more expensive than the crappy tv they're used with:
Aaaand on the other side we have my Gamecube, PS1, and N64.The blue fan or cluster of wires at the bottom keeps my N64 from overheating and freezing :P
All my console games. The manuals at the top right are to games I'm currently lending out. Also behind my guitar is a buster sword I got as a gift that I have no idea what to do with. I've also got one N64 minibox so far :D
DS/PSP games as well as some manga and comic book collections. I've got about 500 comic books/gaming magazines boxed up in the attic somewhere as well.
My small DVD/CD collection, as well as my tower of controllers. Bottom drawer is for audio equipment and the one above that holds all my portables.
Since it's technically gaming related, my ION drum set that I've been modding for a while. I've added a real hi-hat stand with a magnet switch attached, nice double bass pedals that my school thought was broken, some official Rock Band silencer pads underneath the rubber (makes a huge difference), and 2 seven pound weights to keep the kick trigger from shaking like crazy. Overall I've only spent $100 on it, and I pretty much never use the thing for Rock Band anymore.
To spare you more pictures, the only thing that's missing is my Mac, which sits on a pretty barren desk next to my TV. The scanner/printer is hidden somewhere else in the house and I can use it wirelessly. Any questions about the specifics of my collection can probably be answered by going to my Backloggery, but ask away anyway :D
Doom:
How do you live with such a small TV? For any HD system, that's comically small. I'm sure it's OK (maybe even better) for older systems.

I really don't. Any text in most 360 games is pretty much impossible to read, but all my other consoles are ok. The speakers are there because my TV speaker (its mono for chrissakes) is pretty much shot. I've been looking into getting an adaptor to use an old monitor from a Sony computer we used to have, which honestly isn't much bigger, just better suited for widescreen. I'm pretty sure this TV has been around almost as long as I have, and I'm getting kind of sick of it :P

I remeber when i was a kid I had to play the 2600 on a crappy B&W 13inch tv with no sound, That sucked ;D

oh good I was about to say "you didn't SERIOUSLY buy some Axis pedals for rock band did you?" Those ARE nice double-kick pedals, they're worth more than the rest of that kit combined.
I'm not much of a drummer, but I've been really wanting to get into it. Unfortunately living in an apartment means that acoustic drums are out. How well do those ions work as a practice/electronic kit would you say?
