Hey Jonesat, if you're up for grinding out the online VS achievements in RB1 I still need them. Also the medic achievement in TF2 only took me a few hours. I've actually found out I'm a good medic lol

For anyone who just wants to play RB for fun, I'm a decent expert guitarist/bassist, and an expert (real) drummer. Can't sing to save my ass though :P

I never liked RB much. I can tear GH but I havent played that in a little while. But I prefer custom GH3 for my PC since I can pretty much make and play what ever I want.

Heres my channel with all my custom charts:

See, on my custom GH3 I play songs that make TTFAF look like a joke like Micheal Angelo Batio, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert and Dream Theater. Plus Dragon Force sucks.  :P

Hm, I'm more of an RB person myself, mostly because GH feels too arcade-y. Then again I know that's why a lot of people love it. Beibg used to playing the real thing plus general dislike for activision and sub par cash-ins might have something to do with it. Bit that's a debate for another thread. IMO to every man his own ;)

I used to be very big into Achievements (or Trophies, rather), but ultimately gave up after playing SAW for no other reason that the Trophies. Got about 1/3 of the way through it before the pure suckage of it kicked that lifestyle right in the teeth. It was no longer worth it.

If you have a PS3, my name is 'the_7k'. All I've been playing is ModNation Racers - be sure to check out my characters and cars if you get a chance.

Of course, if you wanna play something else, I've got almost every 2D fighting game out for the PS3 right now.

I almost dismissed rhythm games completely until Pro mode was announced for RB3. Now I'm excited to have something cheaper than a tutor to use to teach myself guitar and keyboard, two things I'm already struggling with this summer.

Actually, I'm curious how they're going to get 5 controllers working at once in this game locally. I understand they count the 3 singers/microphones as one player assigned to once controller, but how will the keyboard work? I know the PS3 can take more than 4 bluetooth inputs, but how about the Xbox? I'm pretty sure it's only designed with 4 controllers in mind...

you can connect wirelessly more then 4 controllers, every controller after the 4th just displays a 4th player icon on their controller is all.   found that out when linking 360s to play huge games of halo lol

plus with the last rockband game they gave a small usb multi tap, so you can just pop it into one of your usb slots, and now you have 4 more slots :)

Haha I'm plenty familiar with USB hubs. Never tried hooking up 4+ controllers to a 360 before. Cool to see you can do it though :D

Id have to dissagree with that. Theres not really anything these rythm games can teach you that will make you a better guitarist other than just getting you familiar with moving your fingers and maybeg etting some rythm.

Thats what helped me with bass !  i sucked at fingering (thats what she said!) but after rocking out gh1 and gh2 i found i was like 100% better at it.

What i wanna see is a gh or rb game that has more then the standard buttons, like maybe columns as well.  like the green button has like green 1 green 2 green 3 in a column, then red 1 red 2 red 3.....then that'll help me get better at chords haha

Have you seen the pro guitar controller? It's pretty much a 6 stringed guitar. And I hear they will be throwing simplified musical notation as well. If anything I'll end up sitting in front of the tv with my acoustic and no fail mode turned on. As of now all these games have served me was really intense finger training. If I can at least get the basics and chord training out of 3 I'll be extremely happy. And keyboard already translates key for key, I'll just have to brush up on musical theory and get me some pedals and I'll be set.

For the most part my lazy ass really doesn't like following onlines lessons, at least at the start. Rock Band makes that initial learning stage really fun, and then encourages me to move on and start creating my own stuff.
