Im looking at over 100 covers I have uploaded, what, am I still a noob to you? Is that not enough for your standards? You want to give me attitude for asking for some scans so we can tidy up the site? F*** you sir. No, your not funny. No, I am not trying to be. You want to tell me that I have done jack s*** on this site, then f*** you. I stated in the beginning "I am embarrassed to ask this for worry of being flamed" and that is exactly why. You don't get the point. Technology has been outdated, now we have new. New works better. Some people have cases I don't have, so that it would be nice for some rescans to touch up the covers already created. Yes, it is extremely convenient that there are covers up and someone who has time can touch them up with these as a reference, but a new scan on a better scanner would be greatly appreciated.
I have been in search for the red flap, yellow flap, and purple US spine for Super Mario 64 for soo long it isn't funny. I dont own the box. Maybe I should just go buy it instead of asking admins because they always give me a freaking hard time. Would be less of a hassle instead of pleasing ignorant people.

This whole business is a hobby .... and an illegal one at that if you consider the copyright infringements going on here. Some people take things way too seriously .... You weren't around at the time maybe maybe a half dozen off us were trying to get the N64 section to where it is today. As a site it relies on people contributing and there were piss-all of us at the time. If we'd known people were going to make verticals or complete mini's and needed the flaps we'd have posted them.
Personally, I think vertical covers are total and utter crap. They don't reflect the way the original creators wanted their artwork seen, otherwise they would've created ... oh I don't know ... vertical covers in the first place ALA the Jap N64 covers. But while I have an opinion on those I don't go around saying that vertical covers are crap. That's plain disrespectful of the effort they may have put into creating them etc.
Lastly, am I psychic and meant to know that you weren't posting scans under your forum name? And even if you did post under your forum name it wouldn't have stopped me saying the tone of your comments weren't particularly nice. Everyone has an opinion and is allowed to express it. You did. So did I. But you don't see me deleting my stuff because of it. If I did you could kiss goodbye to 70% of the N64 content here and I could easily do so if I wanted to.

facepalm... this is why I am asking for scans... And your rage pertains to new N64 scans how? The ones we have are crap, sorry, its the truth. Scan some new scans to get rid of the old. Don't scan your covers if you don't want. Could care less. If no one wants to rescan, hope everyone is happy with stickers on their covers.

Still squinting my eyes trying to get the hidden message where you are telling me that new N64 scans are useless... I don't exactly see your point of view. All you are basically saying is that I am completely ungrateful with the covers that you have and that you have the power to remove them because I am being an ass by stating they are useless. Well, I don't want to sound like I am doing your job... but I only asked for new N64 scans, not completed cases, but scans (RAWS). I still don't grasp your concept on why that is so hard..

Key word --> all of us at the time
That was then, this is now. People are not re-uploading N64 cases because once someone stated "COMPLETE N64 SECTION", scans for the N64 has become rare. Trying to re-boost the quality of the site, and out of all the people here, I think an ADMIN would appreciate that

I merely reflected that the tone of the comments was disrepectful to SMMM, wishbrngr and a few others who bought boxes to create the ones already here. None of us would ever state that ALL the covers here are the best anyway .. we worked with what we were able to acquire at the time. Unfortunately, with the N64 which was pretty much dead by 2000 we were acquiring 7+ year old boxes at the time. Really ...if you wanted to rage at anyone you should've directed it at Nintendo ...the only idiots who thought cardboard boxes were a durable format. Doh!!!!
But hey ... if you can acquire better boxes for these things then by all means go for it. I sold my N64 gear .... I live downunder and only acquired USA NTSC boxes for this place [PAL here] .... so there's no way I can rescan them for you. Just be prepared for sticker shock .... the price of this stuff is just plain ridiculous most of the time. What you'll find though is there are plenty of people waiting to grab and run and sweet FA that actively contribute ... so it will probably be a while getting something you want. I scan old mags for another site ... same thing there ... no thanks, plenty of moaning ... so maybe my attitude comes from seeing this a little too often?

The way I'm reading this is:
Upload a cover with a blurry front logo: "Sorry, we have strict quality standards and this won't pass"
Talk about re-scanning covers which no longer meet the site's quality standards: "You jerk you're being disrespectful"
Everything I've seen in these forums about this site has been about its quality standards. I don't think what ShootHimNow was asking is at all out of line or even remotely disrespectful. If anything I'd say TheValeman was being disrespectful.
I feel kinda bad for ShootHimNow right now, his time on this forum hasn't been totally pleasant and it's not really any fault of his own. First he gets accused of being a pirate and now he's getting griped out by an admin for asking us to help up the quality standards of a few games in our NTSC n64 collection, a request that's perfectly in-line with the site's goals.
