Day before yesterday (Monday) was buzy and tiring day at work. After work I picked up sister from work. Then 6 hours sleep, interrupted twice when power came back after short interruptions (My computer and satellite box's hard drive make loud noises when they restart). Then at woke up at 8 am (Tuesday) quick shower and drove 300 km to Helsinki and to Ikea for shopping and to eat with 3 of my sisters (took 3 hours). Then drove around Helsinki trying to find free parking space so I could park my car for 9 hours, got lost few times. Then we took Subway to Green Day's concert, the Hives and Joan Jett with the Blackhearts were also playing. Concert lasted total of 7.5 hours including 1.5 hour waiting between the acts, whole time standing. We were 3-5 meters from the stage so the sound volume and weight of the moving and pushing people were huge and I think I have stress fracture in my left heel, actually I know I have, had that before too. After that 1 hour waiting in taxi line and driving to my car. Then I drove back the 300 km, heels hurting (left more than right), legs burning with lactic acid, almost falling asleep at wheel, driving felt like driving drunk (never tried that though, but so they say). It's now 4 am Wednesday and I'm going sleeping now TIRED, HEELS HURTING BUT HAPPY, Good night. Might post pictures later. |

I'm more interested that you went to Helsinki than I am that you saw Green Day. You live in Finlind! You're living the American Dream! |

You're living the American Dream! --- End quote --- Good morning/afternoon , it's 12.02 pm Wednesday, and me left heel is still hurting, PERKELE (Sorry about swearing, but that is just pronounced so beautifully, and the swear word doesn't have counter part in the other languages in my knowledge, least not in English). http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=226 It has said since I joined that I live in Finland, and I have mentioned i few times. Only few weeks until the Nightless night, were above the Polar Circle the sun does not set and even in Southern Finland the sun only sets for hour I think, but it does not get dark, like the singer of GD said: we get tired, because you damn finns have only 3 minutes of darkness in the night. BTW: the Juhannus night (Nightless nigh/ midsummer party, the nigh between Juhannus eve and Juhannus day, between 25th and 26th of June this year) is time when we the Finns outdrink your st Patrick's day, get naked (at least go skinny dipping) and drown more often than any other day in the year (usually about 10 people), burn houses while barbecuing ... |
