--- Quote from: UncleBob ---I've already said my piece on these cases. They're bull crap.

If the plan was using less plastic and saving shipping costs, a clear case, made out of the thinner-DVD case materials, the size of CD Jewel Cases, but half as thick, with health warnings and basic instructions printed on the backside of the cover insert and the rest of the manual contained on the disc would save plastic, paper, fuel/shipping costs *and* allow you to fit six copies in the same space as two current copies. All while not leaving giant, gaping holes where my disc should be protected.

Think this, only clear.

Anywhoo, I picked up about 50 white Wii Game cases from a Hollywood Video/Game Crazy that was going out, so I'm set for all these crappy "green" cases.

Which option would you find better? Keep in mind that a full manual could be offered as a download or on the disc or both.

My perfect case would be similar to UncleBob's idea. The very thin cases with no manual would be good. For me to accept them, Nintendo would need to offer low quality (what they do currently) manuals on their site, along with high resolution, print quality manuals. They could offer more concept art and whatnot at high resolutions at no major cost to themselves.

Really, anything is better than the current eco cases.

Thin paks are the way to go. That way when I run out of shelf space I'm not the one being counterproductive and using twice the price in ink to print new covers ;)

I'm famous!  Sorta...

Well, it's obvious what I prefer.  I'd actually prefer the smaller, thin-pack cases over regular DVD cases.  It'd save so much space on my shelf (says the guy who's case'd all of his GB/GBC/GBA games...), but still look nicer and be easier to maintain than a binder or such.

I really like the idea of printing basic instructions on the back of the cover insert and putting the full manual on the disc.  Then, there's no worries about losing/tearing up the manual and all used games would include the manual!  I picture something along the lines of, when you pop in a new game, similar to the message you typically get about creating a save file, you'll get a message that says "Would you like to view the manual for this game?"  If you choose "No" or close the manual at some point after choosing "Yes", a second message will pop up to remind you "You can view this manual again at any time by pressing the Home key and selecting 'Manual'".  After the first time this message pops up, a bit in the save file will be changed to acknowledge that you've been made aware there's a manual on the disc and not to ask you about it again.

I hate the ecoPacks, but I love my huge pile of white Wii games cases that I got for less than ten cents each. ;)

I loathe the new eco cases too.
