That's exactly what i was after - love those crappy cartoony fronts from the MK1 games.

Finding the art was a toughy - needed alot of cleaning, ran through Vector Magic and then more cleaning.  Fits really well though.  Thanks a million.

Was trying to find a cartoony hulk hogan for the wwf one, but settled on the masked wrestler in the end.

You got them right, they look like a Sega artist had knocked them up for this very purpose. May have to make some concession's for the WWF logo...but not tonight, Im off to try and sleep AND watch Match of the Day AND not wake Mrs G into the bargain. Will finish it up tomorrow and post a lot of stuff up.

I'm still using the free desktop version.  Rather than saving the final image - i  zoom in as far as possible to fit it on screen, take a screen capture and copy/paste it into photoshop - then edit it from there.

Sounds long winded, but for logo's etc it's generally a piece of cake.

Same for me but i paste it from the zoom into Coreldraw (that i borrowed from a mate and have sort of kept) and let the auto tracer in that do it. Not as good as straight from Vectormagic but the price for that is a bit steep.

Ninja Gaiden (PAL/E.U/Custom)

Ninja Gaiden (PAL/E.U)

WWF Wrestlemania : Steel Cage Challenge (PAL/E.U/Custom)

WWF Wrestlemania : Steel Cage Challenge (PAL/E.U/)

So the customs are finished if they are ok sheep. Let me know and i will put them up. Used your scans to make official ones to except i did away with the horrible "tight grid" that third parties seemed to use. Bloody Flying Edge and Domark...why cant they stick to the same style as Sega. ;)

I absolutely love them!

The tight grid was exactly why i wanted to have them redone - horrible things.

If you are up for it - i might sort out some graphics for a few more customs. (i'm thinking super kick off/indiana jones/pitfighter all have horrible spines.)

Alien Syndrome (NTSC/U.S)

This is the only MS cover i have seen of this type (so far) where the front art bleeds slightly onto the spine. One from Lordpenguin's list. Yours are coming too sheep.  ;)  (just picked up a PAL version for £1.49 from the bay so a PAL version will be forthcoming)

Duke, is there a generic template here for UGC SMS?  I'd like to take a crack at my Choplifter scan.  It looks like it could be easy, so maybe a good place to start.  Also, I have many more scans coming.  90% of my collection is still boxed.

Yup.. it's here:

Looking at them, the easiest to convert would be Space Harrier or Astro Warrior, then Choplifter. The template should cover just about every aspect of those three 'out of the box'. I would say Choplifter is slightly the trickier of them cos' you will probably have to trace out the barbed wire across the front by hand. Anyway, let me know so as i don't duplicate what your doing.

Hmmm...  I suspect your right Duke.  I'll take a crack at Space Harrier since it is my favorite SMS game 8).  I'm sure I'll be back around during the process for advice however.  Wish me luck!
