Hey all,

I know there is an XBOX LIVE ARCADE GAME COVER thread but it hasn't been used in almost a year and some of you may not know yet that games can now be saved and also run straight from a USB memory stick just like Wii-WARE games with their SD Cards which I have waited for years for this to happen and now i can go to town with making some XBLA covers too, I know some of you out there have made some before but just as shelf displays, but now you can store them on USB Memory sticks and pop them into your covers if you wish just as I will....

If you recently updated your XBOX360 then that will update the system to allow USB memory saving, check that this has been done before going ahead.

NOTE: You must use minimum 1GB sticks upto maximum 16GB.... anything under 1GB can cause problems with your system due to storage space for storing system data on the memory sticks. Also it is recommended that each USB Device is formatted via the Menu's of the XBOX 360 settings to setup each USB device properly.......

GUIDE: Press the green Xbox Logo button in the middle of your 360 controller to bring up the old school menus, then move right 2 times to get to "SETTINGS", then scroll down and select "SYSTEM SETTINGS", then scroll down to "MEMORY", after that you will notice that you have a USB device connected, select that device that you have inserted with "A" button and on the next screen select "CONFIGURE NOW" this will setup your USB Memory to be compatible to save and run games from......... Hope this helps....

I don't have any covers to upload yet but hopefully soon I can get cracking on some games.............. So all you other Cover designers out there please help get this thread going.......

Thanks everyone

Ok, here is the first XBLA game I made a cover for and the title is WOLF OF THE BATTLEFIELD: COMMANDO 3....

Just note that i made this cover to suit the slim line dvd cases not your standard dvd/game case size..... The spine is just basic since if you use an original logo of the games title name you may not be able to read it that well, which is why i used standard text down the spine....

The reason i will use slim line dvd cases is that it will halve the shelf space and there are ultra thin USB memory sticks still thin enough to fit in the slim line cases, see below.

This is what I came up with:

Here is the original size:

Enjoy...... More coming later

  • ...and that's the bottom line
If you keep up that pace you'll have the majority of XBL games covered by the end of next month :) Some real nice covers. Good work.

Are you going to upload them to our site as well?

I'm guessing the covers have no hi-res enough versions out there to be posted here, but I'd be glad to be wrong.

Hahaha, you could be right :P....... Well I started the thread so it's only fair that i post some covers too....   There will be no more covers today but maybe in the next few days..... I have heaps of artwork to use for various game covers which is good but it's just a matter of putting it all together...    I am in the middle of working on 2 other covers but i am too tired to finish them today.... the next 2 covers you might see in the next few days will be CASTLE CRASHERS and SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER TURBO 2 - HD REMIX.........

Haha yeah I know the feeling, When i heard that the XBOX can now store and run games from a USB memory card i was all like WOOHOO, and the missus was all like F**K  haha......

Now with DLC, I can't see why not, you can store anything on USB now even Movies on Demand........

I posted samples what the covers look like but if you scroll down below it i posted the original size which are all around about 3200 x 2100 in size...

When I heard about this I got quite excited. Id love to case up my XBLA games. Gotta have games like Castle Crashers sitting on my shelf.  But before I start doing this, I want someone to confirm that you can store individual games on multiple USB drives and play them no problem. I want to do the same with my Wii ware games on SD cards.

Great Idea and nice covers so far but Id much prefer standard 360 cases. Might be a good Idea to make both standard and thin DVD cases.

Hey buddy..... I can tell you 100% that you can store individual games on multile USB drives because I have done it, and it plays the games straight from the USB... I too would like to use DVD cases but it will take up twice the room if not a fraction more.... At this stage I am only doing slim line DVD covers as I will be doing games that are in my collection for a while. I have alot so I am sure alot of you would have a few of what I got and once i get some more covers going then i might put in a few requests including possible choice of slim line or DVD size covers......

Thanks....... It would be considered expensive to some but it all depends on if you really want to do it or not, some people would think it is a waste of time but that is the reason why i make covers because i think it is worth it and also a good way to know what games you have..... I have all individual SD cards for all my Wii-Ware games and i will buy lots more of the ultra thin USB memory sticks that i posted in the very first post with my first cover......
