And the last (hopefully)version of Berzerk. Its two scans cobbled together so dont look too closely or you'll see the join!! Thanks to Sheep2001 for finding the better scan, just a pity it was'nt a little wider.

Grumbleduke,

thanks for the PM.  I almost forgot about the site.  I will forward you my templates so you can continue the legacy (err...not mine, but the sites collectively). You have done an excellent job with the Atari 2600 covers considering you didn't have the template and had to recreate yourself.  You'll note the differences between the older cases (the color ones) with the fonts depending on whether the cartridge label had a picture label or text label (I don't know why I mentioned that, its just a subtlety I picked up on doing my first cases).

Keep up the excellent work.

Different take on Lish's version, this one has game description and piccie on the back.Wether its different enough though...

My covers are an emulation of the original boxes that I had.  Some of my boxes have pictures and text, whilst others only have the screen shot on the back.  I assume that some boxes would have been printed in both formats.

So from my point of viewe (without actually seeing your cover), if your cover emulates the original box that has text on the rear (AKA basketball for example), Then this is also a legitimate original.  If not, then some might like a custom cover that puts text on the back of their boxes.

PS, the more I think about that font, without looking, I beleive that it was Century Gothic.

Good morning,

Atariage.com has a selection of fonts that are very close to the actual ones used on Atari game boxes and labels.  The following link has the fonts and a brief description.

http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/AtariFonts/index.html?SystemID=2600

Also, there is a site where you can easily set up and print a cart label for the atari made 2600 carts.  The labels are not meant to be exact but very easy to use.

Yup...i have a couple of single piccie - no text covers myself, with some lovely holes factory cut either side of the box. Never could figure out there purpose...and hurry back out of (semi) retirement m8...we still got (nearly) all the Sports,Space,Arcade and Strategy Networks to do ;)..Not to mention Imagic,Activision,Coleco etc, etc.

This one's for Tiketak's girlfriend. ;D

It's kind of a mixture of different versions of the original cover, but if you prefer i can do a pictures only version (as in your scan).

So dust off the INTV and head for the digital piste!  ;)

Near as Damn

I think he means how the cartridge fits inside the actual case

Yeah, that's what I meant. ;)

I don't want to order 100 cases, then they fit crappy. ;)
