Intellivsion, Colecovision, Atari and More(MERGED with new INTV thread!)

shark:
If someone wanted to do any Atari, I know they have a crapload of box scans at atariage.com. I think most of them are just the front and back, though. No sides.
Lish:
I personally am all for the scanning of the Colecovision/Adam boxes.  This stuff is history and if no-one scans the boxes, they will be lost forever.  Time Pilot I would love for sure.  Its my all time favourite and colecovision was the only console port.  I have the original (sort of... its emulated)  in my cocktail cabinet.

Wanted to let you guys know that I found in another box allllll the old boxes for the games I mentioned, most of them in really good shape, just incredablly dusty. I swear I think those boxes have been collecting dust SINCE 1983 :D

I'll have to dust them off before I scan them, but I'm worried about damaging them. Any ideas on what I could try?
Lish:
Try and electrostatic duster.  If you dont have one of those, then use a soft damp cloth (something like a chux dishcloth...I'm sure with globalisation we all have the same products being pedalled to us). Remember to wring the cloth out of all excess water.  The cloth should not be wet, just damp.  You will have to wash the cloth out often and it will take some time.  I would keep well clear of solvents or furniture polish like Mr Sheen (assuming they sell that in north America).

Now, if you scan those I will be very tempted to search for a colecovision on ebay and start collecting the games.
Lish:
Well, I'm not really trying to bump this thread, but it's a little pointless starting another one.  I redirected to the intellivision again.  Initially, I lost interest because my boxes where in pretty poor condition (after all, they are 26 years old).  But, Intellivision cases are all but standard, so I put a lot of effort into creating a template that matched the originals, without using much of the original box.  All I really needed was the Logo, which I scanned, touched up and added transparencies.

So, all that is needed to change the template into a fully fledged cover is to change the background color and front picture fram colors using the fill command, add the picture inside the frame on the front, and add the scanned screenshots to the rear....and there you have it, a replica of the orginal box sized for the universal game case, without any color inconsistencies that we always get from scans (which ultimately isn't that noticable, if at all, in the printed version anyway...but doesn't look the best on screen).

Anyway, heres Space Armada.
