| The Gradual Fall of Blockbuster |
| << < (2/4) > >> |
| yadster:
They used to be a common sight in the UK but are now disappearing fast. I hardly ever used them as they always seemed more expensive to buy or rent than other shops. Now with SKY TV and the like offering on-demand films, cheap postal rentals, internet downloads, eBay, Amazon etc I'm suprised they have lasted as long as they have. Plus the one that used to be where I lived always smelt of sweaty feet for some reason??? |

Ive got two Blockbusters' at opposite ends of town. I should probably stop in a see what I can get... |

Yeah one by my house just closed recently. Too bad by the time I realized it was closing they'd basically sold everything. |
| thesubcon3:
There are still about 20 out here but I always frequent the ones close to my house because the fall is imminent... |

I'm not sure how they are doing in Canada, but I guaranteed that the wave of closures will ripple its way there. |
