most of these were fairly difficult to make. the best scans i had to work with for the most part were from moby games, and they were really bad, as many of you know. space shuttle was probably the worst overall, it was the size of a thumbnail, and i just couldnt clean up the front enough to make it usuable, so i went custom on that one. i had to retype basically all of the font on all of the covers, and for some i had to re-draw the art work. legend of kage was the worst in that regard. i have a bunch more i've been working on, but with school now i probably wont have those done for a while.

oh, and hogans alley has two versions; the one i found originally did not have the white stars on it, but i made another version with the stars. space shuttle has two version because when i printed it, the font was difficult to read so i changed it to white in order to make it more visible.

it'll take a little bit of time, because an admin needs to go through them and check them out, and then upload them.

These all look very good, and I need most of them for my NES collection. Regarding the Legend of Kage, could you please make a variant that has a game description? Granted the Famicom/NES port wasn't very good, I'd still like to case mine with a write up about it on the back. If needbe I can provide a short script.

thats how the original cover was, but if you want me to put something on there i probably could do that. just write up something and i can make it for you. keep in mind it'll take a little while because of school and whatnot.

I was wondering if the RC Pro-am cover have some adjustments made? Because (to my understanding) it looks a bit different than the original.
BTW, the super off road cover is A MUST HAVE for me!

yeah, its actually a little different. the original had a gradient, from a light green to a darker green. when i started this cover, i wasnt any good at gradients, so i just decided to make it one color and uploaded it as a custom. unfortunately, when i did this, i didnt save the photoshop file, so in order to do it with the gradient i'd have to essentially do it all over. and thanks for the compliment on the super off road cover.

Okay so I took a close look at all of the covers and most of them were nice. Some were really great like the Legend of Kage, The Wheel of Fortune, Hogans Alley or Space Shuttle, some were on the borderline like Renegade.

Unfortunately some didn't make it. The sky shark front was much too pixelated as were the karts on the R.C. Pro Am cover and the heads of the players on Hoops.

It's always difficult to work with bad quality sources and for that your efforts are excellent! You know if you had the time I could scan my Renegade box in for you in 600dpi.... Only if you want to cause in it's current state the front may not be perfect but good enough for the site.

We might wanna get a new authentic Final Fantasy scan to replace the one we have. The one we have is made of GameFaqs low res scan and has alot of errors, certain parts of the sword has been deleted, pixels galore.

Jup you are absolutely right. I think we admins discussed this at the time the cover was posted but as Final Fantasy is rather expensive to get complete we thought we take what we can get for this particular game.

If you have the retail box you are more than welcome to make a better cover out of it for the site.

As I was at it I scanned in the whole box(front,back,spine)... It's all up in the raws NES folder(600dpi uncompressed tiffs).
