Woo, its good to be back!
Due to the downtime I wasn't able to upload the newest box discription, so here it is now.

Megaman IV:

With the destruction of Gamma, the presumed death of Dr. Wily and the discovery of Protoman, Megaman returned home and resumed a peaceful life, hoping to give up fighting forever. However, one year after returning to Monsteropolis, a new threat arises. Brilliant Russian scientist Dr. Isaac Cossack, angered at Megaman and his creator Dr. Light for always overshadowing his own robotic creations, deploys eight of his most powerful robots around the world and challenges Megaman to a fight to the finish.

Before stepping into battle once again, Dr. Light upgrades Megaman's Mega Buster with a devastating triple charge shot, making Megaman more powerful than ever before! Megaman now prepares to battle Cossack's eight robots and reach his Siberian citadel for the final cataclysmic clash!

-16 levels of explosive action!
-Rush returns to aid Megaman through another tough adventure or robot mayhem!
-Use the new triple charge capability of the Mega Buster to blast your way to victory!

Ok, just uploaded a raw scan for Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse. I wasn't sure if anyone had uploaded it or not so there it is if it's need, otherwise, scrap it if it's already been done.

This one was surprisingly hard to write. There's not a whole lot of given plot in Megaman V, most of it is implyed. Keeping that in mind, I tried to write something decent enough to give first time players an idea of what Megaman's fifth game is all about.

Megaman V:

With another Wily scheme thrawrted and Cossack rescued, the world was able to resume a peaceful state. However, a vicious army of robots has begun rampaging! Before Megaman can react, Protoman suddenly appears and..kidnaps Dr. Light! Could it be that leading this new robot army is Protoman!?

Megaman sets off save the world from the newest robot threat determined to rescue Dr. Light and stop Protoman! New ally Dr. Cossack has designed a robo-bird named Beat to aid Megaman in his quest for peace! Now Megaman, Beat and Rush set out to save the world again!

-13 Action-packed stages!
-New robots, new powers! Perpare to unleash some of the most powerful attacks in MEGAMAN history!
-New gameplay mechanics including a waveboard and speeding arrow give megaman more versitility!
-Password system tracks your progress.
-For one player only.

*Edit 1* for convince, I'll put all six descriptions into one post. Here goes.
*Edit 2* I've gone and made some minor changes, mostly spelling/grammer error fixes. This should be finished now.

Megaman:

In the year 20XX. With the advancement of science, humans were able to create industrial humanoid robots. The foremost authority in robotics, Dr. Light, has recently created powerful intelligent robots designed to perform various dangerous tasks in place of humans. The future looks bright for robots and mankind.

But then one day, Dr. Light's former pupil, Dr. Wily, kidnaps and reprograms six of Dr. Light's most powerful robots: Cutman, a lumberjack robot, Elecman, a powerplant overseer, Fireman, a waste disposal robot, Iceman, a robot designed to function at subzero temperatures, and construction robots Bombman and Gutsman. After reprogramming, by order of Dr. Wily, the robots begin taking over the city of Monsteropolis!

Hearing of this, one of Light's household cleaning robots, Rock, volunteers to be converted into a fighting robot. Thus the super robot Megaman was born!
Megaman vows to save Monsteropolis and stop Dr. Wily. Will Megaman stop Wily and achieve everlasting peace? The fate of the world is in your hands!

-Take control! MEGAMAN allows you to choose which boss you fight first – a videogame first!

They all sound way cooler the some of those lame capcom descriptions! Damn, I still have nightmares about the orginal Megaman 1 cover art. I'm glad those custom covers are on the way, cause they will be great additions to the megaman series, Im going to be using those, instead of the originals. No complaints from me, you descriptions are right on!!

eightcell, what do you think? Since you're the one who'll be incorperating the discriptions into the covers I want to know your thoughts. Heck, anyone else's would be nice too!

I lime 'em all. Especially Mega Man 3 but that's my favourite Mega Man anyways :)
They're all good, definitely a lot better than the original Capcom ones.

sorry it's been a few days, i have had a lot of "real" work on top of these covers, so i've just been busy.  anyway i'm making last minute tweaks to the cases as i recieved my universal cases so i can test them out.  there are a few covers that i am moving things (logos etc) away from the edges to give them a sort of "bleed" just in case they need to be cut down a little (as seems the case when I print some of them)

Satoshi I'll be using your box descriptions for the Megaman cases, I expect them to be done by next Tuesday (though sooner is a possibility)

Also since I've gotten these cases I started just putting other stuff in them.  One of the uses I don't think i've heard of yet could be for holding Game & Watch games.  I just put a piece of this like sheet foam around it to protect it and it fit fine.

eightcell, I went and just now edited my box discriptions of the six Megaman games, chaning the wording slightly and removing spelling/grammer errors. It should be perfect now though.

Can't wait to see the finished versions!

hey eightcell, any word on progress you might have made? I'm not trying to rush you and I know you as well as all of us have full time lives but I was wondering if you've worked on the Megaman boxes yet.

Cheers.

I've been watching this thread with some interest since it started, mostly because NES games are one area that I need more cases than I can give (Actually, I need 13 and can only give 1 (Metroid).

The 13 I need are:

10-Yard Fight
Xevious
Super Mario Bros **
Donkey Kong **
Gradius
Airwolf
Galaga
Golf
TMNT **
Double Dragon II **
Duck Hunt
Warios Woods **

Not a huge collection, but quality carts..like new.

The ones with an asterix I beleive I have seen in either this or other threads.  At one stage, it looked like you guys were really going to give NES a huge kickstart (there are only 600+ covers to complete the series :D ).  So...How about doing a tired old(er than some) fool a favour and uploading any of the above that you have.  I will wander off and shoot heaps of SMS, 3DO, gameboy, genesys,Gamecube and Coleco covers up the twin pair(code for DSL phone line) in return.
No Metroid on N64, What was Nintendo thinking? ;)

most of those I beleive eightcell has done, at least in the cases of Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, TMNT and Double Dragon II. He (and I) have done Donkey Kong Classics, which contains DK and DK Jr. and I've done 10 Yard Fight. To my knowledge, nobody's done Xevious, Gradius, Airwolf, Galaga, or Wario Woods; Golf I'm not sure about.

I'll post what I have, but again the biggest leader of this project is eightcell. He's better at actually making them and seems to have more scanns to work with.

Cheers.

Dumb question time...

Are there printable versions of eightcell's covers anywhere?  I've seen http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kymcat3/covers.html, but those aren't printing size.  I'm not expecting 300 dpi or anything like that, but whatever there is would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
