Hey, guys! I'm a relative newbie to the this site, but I hope you like my work. I spent a lot of hard work and precious time on a custom Mega Man 3 cover. I really like how it came out and I hope you guys do, too! Special thanks to satoshi_matrix for having written such excellent game descriptions for the NES Mega Man games several dozen posts ago.

i'd drop the front K-A ESRB logo or ground it to one of the bottom corners

Welcome thecpoc. Your cover looks great! Thank you for the kind prase for the discriptions. Here are just some things I would suggest to impove:

Rating system: If I recall correctly, the ESRB rating system didn't exist until after 1993, so relitively few NES games were rated at all. Keeping that in mind, as a purist I don't like to see ratings for games that never were originally rated. If you remove it, it would enhance your cover. Just my two cents though, opinions will vary.

Consistancy: at the very bottom you have Capcom's copywright info that looks pasted from the old cover. You might want to rewrite that to improve the overall finished version.

I really like it though, I think I might actually print it out and replace it with the one I use. I hope you do covers for the other five NES MM titles as well. Your cover looks great. If you're doing to do that though, please keep in mind that they'll all be side-by-side, so make sure the spines match up like what lumberjack masterfully did.

This cost a nice chunk of change but the guy wasn't kidding when he said mint condition.

This game is in such great condition it is now the pride of my NES collection.

Now hopefully a cover guru can convert these to a cover for you.

I am neck deep in some programming sidework atm or I would try and finish some of the raws I uploaded.

Okee dokee, I took some of those suggestions and made a second version of the cover, without the ESRB logo.

Two versions are available with slight differences on each one (most noticeably, the ESRB logo).

Oops, almost forgot to address something I was planning on addressing!

Anywho, satoshi_matrix, in regards to the other five Mega Man games... well, at the moment I have no plans for them, but you never know what the far future holds. For the moment, in all honesty, I'm just planning on doing custom covers for games that I own and I think badly need custom covers.

Off the top of my head I'm planning on doing custom covers for the following:

Golf
Ice Climber
Mach Rider
Duck Hunt
Super Mario Bros.
Metroid

And I may also combine parts from the Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. custom covers for a Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt custom cover.

My Famicom covers since they were deemed to be seperte from the NES. Games like Clu Clu Land, Devil World, BPS Tetris, etc.

I suppose I could try to add that to my "to do" list. Though since no existing cover for that is on the site, would it be alright if I leave the barcode as a blank white box when I get to that cover? Something about using a mismatching barcode kinda bugs me, for some reason.

has anyone else noticed the faded smb3 covers we have on the site?
its especially noticable on the bottom part of the cover where its a faint orange color.
the front logo has some creases on it and the spine logo has part of it chopped off.
(FYI all 3 of the covers have the same problems)

i decided to recreate the cover with a new high rez logos (front, back, spine) and a new high rez image of mario on the front.
