Hi guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I recently joined the site and started to print out some covers for my NES collection. I'm currently designing some covers for games that aren't hosted on the site. They are custom covers because I don't have the boxes for them :-\ so I just scan the cart label and go from there. I try to make it look as professional and original as possible. I have one up on the site for Double Dragon. Here's a low res sneak peak at an Excitebike cover I just finished and uploaded to the site for the next update.

Let me know what you think. Definitely more to come!

Hey Deft, I am always glad to see people making NES covers although I tend to shy away from custom ones.

YOu can check the Raw uploads at http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/raw/index.php?dir=Nintendo+-+NES%2F if you need high res scans of boxes to work with.

Welcome to the project!

You are welcome to do anything you want and as anthonybc said there are many high res raw scans waiting which can be used by you if you want.... Because please never forget always use high res stuff for your covers otherwise they can't be used for our site....

Again thanks for the contribution and welcome! :)

Some of those games don't look right with that black NES spine logo...maybe you should change its color to reflect the color of the box?

Besides this spine NES logo is part of our NES projects uniformity standard look... It's one of our standards....

That's a horrible reason. The real logo doesn't have the black background/white border on it, it's just transparent. Sometimes the colors are changed for clarity, but that's how it usually looked.

What we've got is still better than nothing though.

There is an auction for a bunch of NES Boxes on Ebay that contains a box for Sword Master. Unfortunately we have most of the boxes and the auction is already over $150. This is the first time I have actually seen that box. At least it should give hope it will appear solo as well at some point.

Hey again! When I wanted to add your two covers today I saw that the fronts of your covers are very very unsharp unfortunately..... Exictebike was beyond repair but I was able to resharp Super Dogde Ball enough to use it on our site..... I hope you can get better front scans for Excitebike because we would still need this cover on our site....

Thanks for repairing the Super Dodge Ball cover, I will try and rescan the Excitebike front with different settings on my scanner software, I should be able to make it sharper. I'll reupload it once its fixed.
