I noticed with the Megaman 1 cover that you managed to remove the PlayStation logo. Will you also be doing this for the rest of the covers?

Eightcell, I've completely rewritten the Megaman 1 box discription. Its based on the box from the NES version, the PSP remake Megaman Powered Up, and the Rockman manga. It's somewhat long winded, but I feel it works. Hope you can incorperate it into a cover! I'll be doing 2-6 as well.

In the year 20XX. With the advancement of science, humans were able to create industrial humanoid robots. The foremost authority in robotics, Dr. Light, has recently created powerful intelligent robots designed to perform various dangerous tasks for humans. The future looks bright for robots and mankind.

But then one day, Dr. Light's former pupil, Dr. Wily, kidnaps and reprograms six of Dr. Light's most powerful robots: Cutman, a lumberjack robot, Elecman, a powerplant overseer, Fireman, a waste disposal robot, Iceman, a robot designed to function at subzero temperatures, and two construction robots, Bombman and Gutsman. After reprogramming, by order of Dr. Wily, the robots begin taking over the city of Monsteropolis!

Hearing of this, one of Light's household cleaning robots, Rock, volunteers to be converted into a fighting robot. Thus the super robot Megaman was born!
Megaman vows to save Monsteropolis and stop Dr. Wily. Will Megaman stop Wily and achieve everlasting peace? The fate of the world is in your hands!

-Take control! MEGAMAN allows you to choose which boss you fight first – a videogame first!
-Sharp, brilliantly-clear graphics and memorable music!
-One million bits of responsive memory!
-State of the art technology!
-For one player only.

I'll have MM2 up soon. Till then
Cheers.

After the battle, Dr. Wily managed to escape and now, out for revenge, Dr. Wily has created eight powerful new robots of his own. Amassing an army of robotic warriors, Wily declares a war against humanity! Only Megaman can hope to stand against him. Will Megaman be able to save the human race from the vile clutches of the evil Dr. Wily?

-The battle continues! MEGAMAN 2 is the longest, most exciting and most challenging MEGAMAN adventure yet!
-Two difficulty settings for new and seasoned Megaman fans!

Took me a while to write this, so I'm somewhat at odds if its any good. Let me know what you guys think. I'll edit it accordingly.

Megaman III

Following his defeat at the hands of Megaman, Dr. Wily was captured and brought to justice. In an unusual decision, Dr. Light convinced the people of Monsteropolis that Wily was merely misguided. Serving as penance for his crimes, Dr. Wily has now changed his ways and focuses in aiding Dr. Light, his former mentor. Together they’re creating a gigantic peace keeping robot named Gamma. Once finished, Gamma will be able to defend mankind against any robot threat possible, thus insuring a war between man and machine would never happen again. However, to activate such a large and unique robot, eight special elemental energy crystals must be collected and loaded into Gamma's systems. After some searching, Wily finds the crystals - guarded by eight powerful robot masters controlled by an unknown foe!

Megaman is sent in to collect the crystals and take out the robot masters. As Megaman rushes into battle once more, the mysterious Breakman eyes his every move...

-21 rapid-fire levels! The biggest MEGAMAN adventure ever!
-Fight all-new, totally terrifying foes!
-Call Rush, Megaman's multipurpose dogdroid, to aid him through danger!
-Demolish the eight robot masters and gain their crystals and discover the  truth behind their presence!
-Using his new emergency acceleration system, Megamasn slide his way to victory!
-Password feature tracks your progress.
-For one player only.

Not bad at all! Maybe you could also mention this was the first game to introduce Proto Man, Mega Man's mysterious brother. Just an idea, I like what you've come up with.

It isn't until the end of Megaman III that the player discovers Breakman is actually Protoman, so it would kind of be a spoiler. I think its best to write the game discriptions in spoiler free fasions. Otherwise I might as well put for each game:

"Megaman fights eight robot masters, a few bosses, then Dr. Wily. Then he wins."

Right on... I was always confused by the 'Protoman - Breakman' thing. I usally start the game out with Hard Man, and half way through the stage, we meet Protoman. I always thought Breakman was a wannabe Protoman, because Breakman has a helmet that actually covers his face, while Protoman's helmet doesn't. Guess maybe they are the same robot then.
Who knows? But I see your point about keeping the descriptions spoiler free.

I blame Capcom for not explaing it too clearly, but yes, Breakman IS Protoman.
Heres a little background in case you're interested:
Before the events of Megaman 1, Dr. Light and Dr Wily together create their first intelligent robot able to think and act on its own. They name it DLN#00 Protoman, as it was a prototype.  Light gives him a whistle so that he could bistow his love for music on the robot. Unlike any other robot, Protoman was powered by a nuclear engine. Shortly after becoming operational, his engine became unstable and Dr. Light informed Protoman he would need to deactivate him in order to repair the problem. Protoman feared he would not be reactived after, refused, and then ran away. Given the seriousness of the problem, Light had assumed Protoman's enegery had given out, and he had for lack of a better term, died. Learning from his mistake, all the robots he and Wily made from then forth used a different energy storage system based on simple electrical energy. Unknown to everyone, Protoman didn't die, and secretly watchs Megaman's fight against Wily. Protoman isn't actually seen until the events of Megaman 3, where he challanges Megaman to little tests under the alias "Breakman" (yes, from break dancing. keep in mind every damn thing in the original Megaman was some musical pun). Dispite the way it seems in the game, Protoman wasn't working for Wily in Megaman 3, and he was set up by Wily in Megaman 5. His power regulation problem was ongoing and still wasn't repaired even by Megaman 8. There is a noncanon novel taking place shortly after MM8 involving Protman's enegery serge probem in which he finally is repaired, but Capcom never offically resolved the issue. Protoman was evil and worked for Wily only in the American Megaman cartoon.

KaiserWAVE, I love Megaman AC too, but you should really check out the PS2 or Xbox versions instead of the GC one. The GC one has reverse controls (A is fire and B is jump rather than the other way around that every Megaman gave used ever) and no remixed music, making it very difficult to recommend over the other versions. The G4 interview is awesome though, so I suppose the GC version does have some maret. I own Megaman AC for both the PS2 and GC and I beat all the games on the GC version first, but its just a whole lot more fun playing them with proper controls and remixed music, espically in the cases of Megaman 4-6.

Its been a long day for me, so I'm going to post the Megaman 4 discription tomorrow.
Till then...
Cheers

The reversed control was something you get used to pretty quick. It's a bit strange because you've played all the games back in the day on pretty much all consoles and suddenly Capcom thinks they have to switch buttons.
I have the Gamecube version of Mega Man AC because it was easier to get. For some reason Capcom didn't release Mega Man AC and Mega Man X Collection in Europe. They didn't give an explanation they just decided not to release it although the Mega Man BN games sell pretty well around here.
So I had to import the game from the US. I don't have a modded PS2 (yet) so I bought the Freeloader for Gamecube and Mega Man AC for <$50. Modding a PS2 costs $80 alone. And I have the Hori classic digital controller which I thought would be way better to play the games with  than the PS2 controller.

Ah yes that's right. Man it sucks to be a European gamer eh? I can understand your reasons, but its totally awesome to be able to play the games in Navi Mode and hear remixed music from Megaman 2 the Power Fighters and the Rockman complete works. If you're diehard Megaman, buy a freeloader for PS2 and then import the PS2 version of MMAC.

Whereas the GC version features just the original music, the PS2 version has:

Megaman 1-3 use MM2tPF's remixes when they apply (MM1 Gutsman, MM2 Dr Wily Stage 1, MM3 Geminiman) otherwise, the rest of the music is still standard eight bit fare
Megaman 4-6 use the Rockman complete works remixes, which are totally awesome. Capcom really did a number redoing all the music and it sounds great.
Megaman 7 is untouched
Megaman 8 is exactly the same as the Playstation 1 version, which the Gamecube version is not. For some reason, the GC version starts playing the music about ten seconds into it, and it loops. It doesn't matter if you never played Megaman 8 before, but as I did, I noticed it immeditedly.

While yes I did have to get used to the contols of the GC version, a lot of deaths occured unnessearily when holding down the charge and attempting to jump and forgetting that the buttons are reversed.  ;D

The Gamecube version is a lot of fun, but I do think the PS2 version is better. If you're thinking of importing the X collection, don't worry about differences. With the X collection, the PS2 and GC versions are pretty much identical, and both games give you the option to edit the contonls to whatever you want (I think its fun to map fire and jump to the L and R buttons for a few laughs)

Cheers.
