Awesome as always LJ42.

lol your gonna finish NES before Dreamcast at this rate.

Antony30bc

Well, to be quite honest, it's much easier to clean up old boxes than it is to convert CD-sized art into DVD-size.

Uploaded Pinball NES, and just got back from the Flea Market and NO BOXES  :( but picked up a few cart or really cheap, Adventure Island, Pac-Man Tengen, Double Dragon, and DIg Dug 2 just to name a few.

Like with Top Gun 2, I actually have an almost pristine box for that game.

I guess it's just a sign of being anal retentive as a child, but, all of the games I had for NES when we bought it in 1987 still look like the day we purchased them.

I would throw the boxes in the trash and just keep the game and case.

SNES and Genesis came out, which I got, being spoiled and all the NES games (I want to say 100 or so) were given to my nephew-in-law by my dad.

Wash rinse and repeat for every console since. Except replace nephew-in-law with friend, guy down the street, etc..

Hell even all my original dreamcast games and first DC were given to an ex girlfriend for her son when I got the original xbox.

Then I decided to become a collector and am spending a fortune rebuying all this stuff.

I am just thankful that some people kept the boxes so I can rebuy them. I am surprised by video store sells too, the games are often in the worse shape but the boxes in the best as they were never put on a shelf, just flattened and filed away.

Whoa, I've been out of the loop for a while busy with school...wow there's a lot of new covers! and most of them are for games I own! Thank you so much lumberjack and antony30bc! You guys are the best. I can't wait to see cleaned up versions of Dragon Spirit and Gunsmoke. I was trying to track down the Japanese boxes to create Famicom versions, but the NES editions will do very nicely indeed!

By the way Lumberjack, a few of your earlier covers didn't get uploaded properly - Batman and Bionic Commando specifically. If you could please reupload them I would like to add them to my cased game collection. Thanks again.

I made my own cleaned up copy of GunSmoke but I had to use material from other sources and am not that good with photoshop so it may not pass approval.

LJ42,
I know they weren't on the list of covers I put under your name for the NES inventory but you did mention having some earlier games in mint condition. Any chance you have Ice Climber, Kung Fu, Gumshoe, Hogans Alley or balloon fight?

Im looking through my old computer and theres a bunch of stuff i havent transfered over to my new one.

Before i became an avid NES collector i just scanned some boxes that i had from when i was a kid and tossed the boxes like 4 or 5 years ago, yeah im a moron LOL i dont really collect boxes im just in for the manual and game but i would love my collection to be cased in those nice universal cases.

I had tossed all my boxes when I bought the game. Then later the games themselves were given away.

When I started collecting I decided NES, SNES, N64 boxes would be too hard to come by and manual and game were my only requirements.

I hit the flea market and picked up games for about $5 each , most with manuals. I thought I was getting a great deal.

Then I returned to ebay when I exhausted the flea markets collection and found that many games I could get complete for a little bit more. This site was awesome for getting me many boxes but after watching for a while I realized that if I don't provide boxes why should someone else. Due to this I decided all the remaining games on my NES list I will purchase with boxes. These are listed in the inventory thread. I have also re-purchased a handful of the games I had gotten at the flea market to provide the box as the ebay price was too good to pass up.

I have gotten some games complete in box for $10 and under. My local flea market would not sell any game that was CIB for under $20 and this was with them "cutting me deals" for having spent about $1300 in the last two months. I should have checked market prices for the games but got caught up in the collectors fever.

I will probably return to the flea market for PS2, Saturn, Dreamcast just to see how the are pricing.

The original post guy has vanished from the face of the earth.
