BAD NEWS BASEBALL

Thanks to Dreamcast99 for the scans. I know someone put one up in his scan thread for this game, but it was a simple cut-and paste job.

I re-did the red part of the front logo, as well as the word BASEBALL in the middle. Other than the logo, The entire back is re-drawn. Screens are not retail accurate.

All told, this wasn't terribly difficult, just trying to keep distraction to a minimum, which is tough since it's getting nice outside.

NIGEL MANSELL'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACING

The front and spine of this box are ugly, and I hate them. The logo was pulled from an SNES cover I grabbed online. I cropped the sides out and placed it. I was going to use the one posted on here, but the letters were a little too compressed and had a bit of a tint to them. The car was sourced from the same cover.

The back was interesting to say the least. All of the topographic lines were, as I did with the Rocketeer cover, redrawn from scratch. I only had a poor-quality picture to work from, so it's not 100% accurate, but that's as close as I can get without an actual scan. I'm pleased enough with it. Screens don't match but are actually pretty close. The typesetting I did was strange, as there were extra spaces in the sentences to get it to line up.

The helmet on the back cover was pulled from somewhere online, and it doesn't match what was there originally - it's going to take an actual scan to get that corrected.

I'm gonna take a bit of a break from NES covers so I can work on some 2600 ones.

Awesome cover.  Now my NES collection is fully boxed and covered. ;D

Perfect timing on switching over to Atari 2600 covers because I have a small list of those as well. ;)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

BEE 52

I saw that there was going to be a cover of this one made sometime soon - but I had one that was pretty much done. So, I'll put it up here. The reason I didn't finish this one is because it doesn't have great source material, and I was waiting for a scan or something to show up. So perhaps when the other one gets made, the two can be combined. I didn't want all of the work I'd put into it to go to waste. Looks like going forward, I won't be holding onto mostly-complete covers while I wait to get better art (as to not waste anyone's time or money).

This one has a fully re-drawn logo as well as the "Camerica medal", and everything on the back(except for the characters) has been re-done from scratch. Screens don't match and were difficult to source. I also took a bit of artistic license with this one, as there's typically a star-shaped punch in the front of Camerica boxes. The punch covered up much of a creature on the front, so I omitted him completely since there were no good sources to recreate it.

It was quite helpful to have done other Camerica titles previously, as much of their layouts are re-used.

SEICROSS

I bought this on eBay to scan so I had a decent source to work with. One of the cover sellers on eBay had this for sale (and it had the TCP-style cover), so I'd think it has existed somewhere, but no luck. It was a relatively cheap purchase, at least.

The logo was fun to re-draw. The front was tough to get looking decent. Maybe it wasn't a great scan or just poor source quality, but I did what I could with it. The back is totally re-done from scratch. Screens are not retail accurate.

Work in progress...

Anyone who's worked on Tengen know the back font?  And whats the best way to get the white lines on the spine right in photoshop?
