MICRO MACHINES

This one has been sorely missing. I can't say this is 100% submission-worthy, but it's likely as good as it'll get until we get a good actual scan of the official retail box and not the Aladdin cart.

Using Arseen's raw scans, I did the basic clean up work on this one back in the early part of last year, well before I joined up here. I was having some custom boxes done up and I shopped it together. Only real change I made on it was the front, where I replaced the lower right corner with something closer to retail-specific.

Fast-forward to now...after doing a Camerica box, I figured I'd re-visit this one. I re-did a lot of what I'd done in the past using what skills I've improved in that time. I completely removed all Aladdin-specific items on the box: the aforementioned lower right corner was completely re-drawn from scratch, the black/white box on the upper right front was removed and the part below was re-drawn, and much of the back imagery and text changed slightly. Screens were sourced from an emulator, so they don't match.

The Micro Machines logo itself was completely re-done from scratch using the original scans. (and yes, it does cut off on the back on the real box too)

This thing has been a labor of love for me, I think. I've spent a really long time on it, and I'm happy with the results. It prints out great, which is what I was going for. If you guys notice anything that needs adjusted on it, please let me know.

Looks great! My only note is that the Micro Machines logo on TCP-Style spine should be centered between the NES logo at the top and Camera Logo at the bottom.

Awesome, thanks for catching that. I re-uploaded and adjusted my prior post with that change.

SHORT ORDER/EGGSPLODE!

I bought this one complete on eBay last week simply to scan it and create a cover for it. It wasn't terribly expensive, so I might just go ahead and resell it now.

The scans were good enough, but the art was kinda grainy and dull...so I did what any other cover artist would do: I redrew the ENTIRE cover from to to bottom.

Everything you see other than the Nintendo logo/seal and screenshots (which are inaccurate btw) has been painstakingly redrawn and recolored. This took a lot longer than I thought it would.

This box normally has one title on each side of the spine, so I had to improvise and create my own spine with both games on it.

Enjoy!

Been really busy over the past couple weeks, so I thought I'd do some work on a cover that needed a touch-up rather than a full-blown remake. That way, I could pick away at it when time allowed.

COBRA TRIANGLE

This one is a personal favorite of mine, and is one of the few covers I hadn't redone for titles I actually own. The custom one already hosted here on TCP is grainy but passable (and has a neat spine), but I wanted to go for a retail look and freshen everything up.

One that needed finishing up:

THUNDER & LIGHTNING

Thanks to Lashek for the scan!

This one took a while to get right. Cleaning up the front and working around the speed lines behind objects was difficult. It's not completely perfect but it's the best I could do. I can't say it's submission-worthy, but it should look pretty nice when printed.

I actually started doing all of this to create reproduction boxes for all of my games, which then turned into "why not every NES game?", so I always do retail first. It's pretty easy to set it up for the TCP spine afterwards.

TOXIC CRUSADERS

This one was fairly easy to do, thanks to scans I had.

All of the black on the front (namely the logo) and back was re-drawn, as were the bars in the background. I did what I could with Toxie, but I think it turned out well enough. Screens are not retail accurate.
